Deers and dinner

Wayne took the day off today :)
We had a few errands to do but also enjoyed our day together.
We went for a drive to Mission Island to see if we could see some deer.
There were about 20 deer.
And they were happy to see us and came right up to the window….until they realized we didn't bring them any treats.

Look at this little one :)
He is such a little cutie.
This one came right up to our window.
After checking out the deer, we went for an early lunch to Montanas.
Wayne wanted the 5 cheese spinach dip for an appetizer and I wanted the deep fried pickles.
So we compromised and got them both, lol.
I really wish I had some of the deep fried pickles right now, yum.

We each ordered a sandwich.
I got pulled pork and Wayne got beef brisket.
Because we ordered 2 appetizers, we ended up bringing most of our lunch home and had it for dinner.
Well he had it for dinner, I had some kraft dinner.
Later in the afternoon I had an appointment with a specialist as I have a mole (or 2) on my back that has been bothering me and decided to finally get them removed.
As the doctor was taking care of the moles I wanted removed, he found a few other things to zap, lol.
I think he was having a blast back there.
I think he zapped about 10 different things, lol.
No worries they are nothing to worry about.
I will just be braless for a couple of days……guess I'll be staying at home this weekend, lol

I hope you all had a very creative Friday :)

A little roughed up.

Out with the old and in with the new :)
Time for a manicure.

I have been busy with some spring cleaning.
The best thing about having longer nails is being able to use them as a scraper ;)
I have been tackling my kitchen cupboards.
I have a tip for those looking for new Kitchen cupboards…purchase flat cupboard doors. Sure the intricate and inlaid doors are beautiful, but a pain in the arse to clean.
So I have been using SOS pads and the tips of my finger nails to get into the fine grooves of the cupboard doors to detail clean them.
Looks like I need to re-do my nails :)

I was out and about today, so decided to go and pick up some top coat as mine as become thick and doesn't work to well.
Of course once I got into Chatters, I had to pick up a couple of new polish colours ;)
I like the dusty rose with the dark grey.

I decided to go with the dusty rose (married to mauve) today.
I will try the dark grey(concrete catwalk) next time.

During my outing today, I stopped at Michael's. I didn't find anything that caught my eye, so left empty handed.
But I did end up chatting with a lady for over 45 minutes in the store, lol
When I came home and told Heather that this lady said I looked familiar.
Heather got a bit excited and asked if she recognized me from YouTube.
No, I told her…but man that would have been cool, lol

I hope you all had a creative Thursday :)

Winner, winner chicken dinner ;)

Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
No I didn't win a chicken dinner…did have it for supper though ;)

I won a wonderful prize from Nicole at Canadian Nickel Scrap'n.

Nicole was in a Contest hosted by Sizzix and begged and bribed asked us for our votes.
I voted every day, not because she is a sweet lady, but because I truly loved her project that she designed for this contest.
Well all of my our votes paid off as Nicole won and is flying down to Southern California to check out the Sizzix headquarters…..bet she wishes she was heading out now instead of June with this silly winter we are having.
So congratulations to both Nicole and myself for the wins…oh ya Nicole…I'm still waiting for my baking and Timmies ;)

I won an online gift card to Simon Says stamps :)
Now I know why I don't shop online…to much selection.
I have no idea what I am going to get….and I haven't even looked through all of the products yet!
They have more than just stamps…they have everything!

Today I spent most of my day socializing with my girls and cleaning my kitchen.
I finally (after I don't remember how many years) I took off the extra blind slates that were in our kitchen window blinds. 20 slates to be exact….I was thinking of you Katie as I was working on them ;)

I hope you all had a creative Wednesday.
I am off to watch Survivor.
Can you believe we have been watching this show since they first aired and have not missed a show yet.
We are one committed family, teehee.

National Pancake Day

National Pancake Day!
Did you have pancakes today?
We did :)
Ashley even came over for supper.
Can you see the heart in this pancake…I can find hearts in so many things :)

This is how I enjoy my pancakes.
They are more like a dessert than a supper ;)
I like thin Finn or German pancakes, I put the blueberries that I picked at our camp, then I roll it up, add some syrup and whip cream ;)

My friend Lynne suggested we all go to a movie.
She wanted to go to a chick flick….I am not really into those types of movies (even though I would have gone no matter what we saw), so we decided to go to 3 Days to Kill.
I thought it was a great movie. I'd watch it again.

Of course I had to get our photo in front of the movie poster…which you really can't see.
I am busting a gut looking at Sharon's face LMAO.

I like that Lynne is finger shooting me in the head in every photo, lol
And Denise is just looking her curtsey self as always. She looks innocent…doesn't she ;)

I only had one pancake for supper and the photo of the poutine was looking so good.
But by the time I got less than half way done, I was so over it.

Today was a pretty awesome ordinary day.
I was wondering how do you prefer your pancakes.
Do you like the thin Finn/German pancakes or the thick fluffy type?

Hope you all had a very creative Tuesday :)

Baby Eva's name Banner

I can share with you the project I made with all those flowers and heart embellishments :)
I made a Name Banner for my nieces precious baby girl.

I am so happy with how it turned out :)
So soft and girly :)
Be prepared for a "few" photos ;)
I used pink and grey for the colours.
I dusted off my Cricut and cut out the letters from the Storybook cartridge.
This is one of my favourite cartridges for letters :)

The swirls are from a die cut.

This is how I use my heart stick pins…which aren't really stick pins ;)

I used a 3 step punch for the butterflies.
I used the 3rd step.

The large flower came like this with the embossing, but I added some sparkle to the edges and the mini rose to the centre.
I made the smaller flowers with a punch. Inked them, formed them and added some liquid pearls to the centre of them.
i just noticed that I put one of the flowers on the wrong way…the pattern paper has texture to it, grrrrr. I may have to sneak it back and fix it….or go there with a bottle of glue…well, maybe thats a bit obsessive, lol.

But wait there is more :)
I did a video with even more detail…and a blooper, since everyone loves them so much, as I get asked to keep on sharing them.
I am not sure if I should be flattered or insulted that everyone knows more bloopers will be made, lol.
You can watch my video on my YouTube channel if you prefer.
***Tracy's Treasures24***

I wasn't able to be creative today as I had to take Kristy get her hair trimmed.
Then to the bank and lastly I had a dentist appointment.
I swear looking at my dental x-rays, I don't have a tooth without a filling, lol.
When the receptionist phoned me yesterday to confirm my appointment, I was instructed to bring some crafts to share.
They enjoy seeing what I have made. The one receptionist actually attends the Scrap for Heart event as well.

I hope you all had a very creative Monday :)

Eva's Baby Shower

Today was Eva's baby shower !!!
I have to tell you holding a new born baby, sure makes me miss those baby days.

Here is my beautiful niece Jennifer with her precious baby girl.
Two beautiful girls.

I didn't want to share her :)
I could have held her all day…and almost did, teehee.

Here are the outfits that Ashley and I picked out for her.
Every little girl needs a tutu ;)
And we couldn't forget the matching headband :)

We also found this adorable dress.
Well we also needed a cardigan to keep her warm, a matching headband, tights and of course little dress shoes.
Oh boy did we have fun picking these out ;)

My SIL, who hosted the shower, made this cute centre piece.
The daisy's are made out of diapers and the rose buds out of face cloths…so cute.

Here is the baby card I had made.
I made this a while ago, if it looks familiar.
I coloured the baby with my Copic markers. I was playing with how to make the balloons transparent.
The image is from Redonkulous Designs.

Here is the envelope that I had made and I decorated the front with some washi tape.
Added a label as well, again, decorated with washi tape and added Eva's name with my label maker.

That is not all I had made Eva, but I will share that project in tomorrows post, as this one, is pretty picture heavy as it is :)

I hope you all had a creative Sunday.
Time for me to watch the Walking Dead ;)

Dusting off the Cricut and some Handmade Embellishments

I was in my craft room all day today, working on a special project.
Look, I even used my Cricut ;)
Wayne and my girls bought me this one about 2 or 3 Mother's Days ago and I may have used it 3 times.
I honestly forgot how to turn it on and called my daughter over, lol. I finally figured it out ;)
I have had the smaller Cricut since when it had first come out and know how to use that one, but this one has so many buttons, lol.

I didn't use this bright yellow paper for my project, it was just a practice cut.
I guess I didn't have my setting correct as it didn't cut anything first time around, lol,

If you know me then you know I like to make my own embellishments.
Sometimes I wonder why I even buy embellishments, lol.
I like to ink the edges of my punched out flowers. Some may think it is a waste of time (actually a friend or two of mine told me so) but I like the small details.
See how the ink gives the flowers some dimension :)

I couldn't find (or used them all) my adhesive pearls, so I used liquid pearls for the centres of my flowers.
That is After I formed them in the palm of my hand.

Again some handmade embellishments :)
I have made these before, and may have shared them on here, but if not, here you go ;)
I took some toothpicks and painted them grey.
I then punched out some hearts and inked the card stock and adhered one on each side of the toothpicks…like a toothpick sandwich ;)
Lastly I added some sparkles to the hearts :)

I had a blast in my craft room today.
I usually don't spend anytime in there during the weekend, as I spend the weekends with Wayne and my girls (when my girls are around ;)
But I was on a bit of a time crunch…all my fault, so I spent most of my day down there.

I will share my project in a couple of days.
As it is for my niece's baby shower, which is tomorrow :)

I hope you all had a very creative Saturday :)
