Today was international Scrapbooking Day…..a day just for us Scrapbookers. Now don't you feel special :)
Guess what I did today…scrapbook of course….silly.
My friend and I made a couple of embellishments for our layouts.
I then added faux stitching and gold embossing, as I wanted it to match a manufacturers embellishment on the opposite page.
Here I am…I got my scrappy on ;)
Don't mind the messy table or the blurry photo….my friend isn't used of the iPhone, lol
Here is my scrappy partner in crime, Lynne :)
Not sure what my face is doing in this photo, lol.
Another blurry photo…but I am really not good at selfies……notice the hand in the photo as well ;)
I even cropped out most of my hand from the photo, lol.
Lynne and I were both working on our scrapbooking kits from a couple of years ago, from Crop & Create.
The kits had all of the papers, embellishments and detailed cut lists and instructions.
It was really fun to work on the same project.
Lynne and I both only seem to do 2 page layouts.
This kit came with one 2 page layout, two 1 page layouts and 4 cards.
So we made the one page layouts, into 2 page layouts….I always do this if there is a kit like this.
That is one of the reasons we made our own embellishments :)
I am an expert at making the most out of paper, so that helped with making our paper work for 2 page spreads :)
I hope you all had a very Creative Scrapbooking Day.
Did you celebrate it?
If you did, how?
Tracy :)
I'm off to watch the Big Fight

The Computer Kept Calling
Today seemed like a computer day ;)
I had a list (one of many) of things I wanted to get accomplished today.
I completed 2 1/2 "todo's" out of the 6 I had hoped to get done.
The computer just kept calling my name, lol.
But I did complete a layout that I had started a couple of weeks ago.
Here is a little peek at part of the layout :)
I have been doing a video for each layout I have completed, I haven't done a video yet on this layout, so I will share the full layout when I get to the video.
I really like how this cluster of embellishments look.
Our kitty Luna likes it as well.
I know this because I have caught her many times chomping on the butterflies, lol.
I think she is a creative kitty as I have found my journal pen on the floor by the baseboards, I found a full washi tape in my garbage that I tape to my working table.
I was searching for my one distress ink applicator…I searched and searched.
I finally found it way under our landing at the bottom of the stairs.
There were a few of her treasures under there, teehee.
I hope you all had a Creative Wednesday :)

Dusting off the Cricut and some Handmade Embellishments
I was in my craft room all day today, working on a special project.
Look, I even used my Cricut ;)
Wayne and my girls bought me this one about 2 or 3 Mother's Days ago and I may have used it 3 times.
I honestly forgot how to turn it on and called my daughter over, lol. I finally figured it out ;)
I have had the smaller Cricut since when it had first come out and know how to use that one, but this one has so many buttons, lol.
I didn't use this bright yellow paper for my project, it was just a practice cut.
I guess I didn't have my setting correct as it didn't cut anything first time around, lol,
If you know me then you know I like to make my own embellishments.
Sometimes I wonder why I even buy embellishments, lol.
I like to ink the edges of my punched out flowers. Some may think it is a waste of time (actually a friend or two of mine told me so) but I like the small details.
See how the ink gives the flowers some dimension :)
I couldn't find (or used them all) my adhesive pearls, so I used liquid pearls for the centres of my flowers.
That is After I formed them in the palm of my hand.
Again some handmade embellishments :)
I have made these before, and may have shared them on here, but if not, here you go ;)
I took some toothpicks and painted them grey.
I then punched out some hearts and inked the card stock and adhered one on each side of the toothpicks…like a toothpick sandwich ;)
Lastly I added some sparkles to the hearts :)
I had a blast in my craft room today.
I usually don't spend anytime in there during the weekend, as I spend the weekends with Wayne and my girls (when my girls are around ;)
But I was on a bit of a time crunch…all my fault, so I spent most of my day down there.
I will share my project in a couple of days.
As it is for my niece's baby shower, which is tomorrow :)
I hope you all had a very creative Saturday :)
