October Fauxbonichi's monthly pages

Ok, Ok, I know I said I was caught up…but in my procrastinating life, I was ;)
I am now finally into October in my Fauxbonichi :)
Here is my monthly page :)
I love the colour combination I used here, and had fun playing with my washi tape :)
I just have to write my goals on the left hand side of the page and I'm good to start living in October, teehee.

Here are my 1st couple of days :)
Don't you just love the look and feel of a crisp clean page :)
I added my header, dates and washi tape to all of this month's pages.
I added sticker numbers, instead of my stamps, and I really like the boldness to them :)
Now to decorate and journal.

One of my goals this year was to try not to be such a procrastinator…..as you can see, totally failed at that goal, lol.

When I did Book-keeping, I was always working in the month that just passed, so that is what I am blaming my being behind on….at least thats my story and I'm stickin' to it, lol.

All Caught Up

I am caught up in my Fauxbonichi Journal!!!!!
Actually I have completed the book, as in no more pages left to write in :)

I wanted to add some colour on some pages so I decided to use some inks.
I got this idea when I tried my hand at recreating some bokah, back in February….boy, I am a procrastinator, lol.

Oops forgot to show my templates ;)
I had already had the fun polk a dot washi tape on this page and I just happen to try it on here….coincidence or artsy genius, lol.
I punched circles with 4 different sized circle punches and then just kept inking and layering them.
I used some make up pads to apply the ink…I was at camp so used what I had….odd that I would have make up pads there as I don't wear make up when we are there, lol.

I think this page turned out so pretty :)

They're Coming!!!!

The Zombies are Coming!!!!!

LOL, not really…that's just Wayne.
He was putting plastic on the outside of the windows at the cottage.
We have storm windows and put them up every year….but Wayne is always going above and beyond what is needed, he thinks we need to add plastic on the windows as well.

Have you ever had this pastry called a Flaky by Vachon.
They are so good!!!
I have been eating them since I was a kid.

I have an odd way of eating…almost everything, lol.
I like to pick the sugar off of the top layer of this pastry.
I then take my Flaky apart and then put icing on both the top and the bottom.

But I am disappointed as the manufacturers of the Flaky…have decided to cut corners and for many years, they have been pretty stingy on the icing and I can no longer do that :(

Wayne and I didn't get home until 7:30 from camp tonight.
It took us a bit longer to close up this year….plus the couple extra quad rides didn't speed anything up at all ;)
I am off to watch the Season finale of Fear the Walking Dead now :)

Keeping warm…My day in photos…Cottage edition

It was Long John weather today.

Actually my aunt dared me to post this picture. 

I know she was hoping for a the Long Johns with the butt flap.
But my long underwear is stylin'. Lol.

Enjoyed a few very short walks today. 

We had lots of year end chores to attend to. 

But that didn't stop us from going for a nice long quad ride. 

A very chilly quad ride. 

Enjoyed our last sauna. 

So nice to warm up after our ride.

Playing catch up, when I'm so far behind, isn't always easy.

Some days I had no idea what I did, or had no idea what to put on the page. 

This was one of those days.

Still playing catch up in my Journal

I am still catching up in my Fauxbonichi journal.
Yes, this is the month of May.

I had seen this layout in a magazine when I was on my trip.
I loved it…as I am a lover of hearts :)
I really like how this page turned out.
I liked it late last night when I completed it…I still loved it in the morning…so it must be good, lol.

Here is how it looked before I added colour.
I was going to first draw this in pencil, but then changed my mind because I didn't want to draw it twice.
So I couldn't change anything even if I wanted to.

I had no idea what I had done on Thursday of that day, but I did know what I did on the Friday…..even though I didn't have a lot to write about.
Because I am so far behind….and I wanted to fill in those blank days….I had to improvise on how to fill up those days.

I only have a few more days to complete (May was totally blank) before I can work in my new journal :)

Fun with Friends at Crop & Create

Here are my crazy and fun friends at the Crop & Create event.

It is hard to get us all in a photo together….they are so hard to discipline, lol.

Our friend Sharon wasn't able to make it this year…she was on a bus tour….poor girl, teehee.
Lynne and I took a photo with our missing friend ;)

This is what my friend Debbie and I had for a snack.
Now tell me, who brings healthy snacks to a crop….Debbie apparently, lol.

My neck was stiff from painting the garage trim…..so Lesli gave me a massage….now that is a friend ;)
I have to say she was very good…..I could use another one Lesli ;)

Since a lot of my friends are into those Adult colouring books, when we went for lunch…Lynne grabbed a few children's activity sheets and crayons for the ladies.
Verna one upped her and coloured it in, lol.

I can not tell you how much fun I have with these ladies :)
I am looking forward to the next crop we attend…..I think the next one will be at my house though.
