Halloween Crop of 2018

I love a good crop...and I love to host crops.
A crop is when scrapbookers get together to create...just in case you don't know.
I have been putting on scrapbooking crops in my home for quite a few years now.....these are different then my Friday Night Scrapbooking get togethers.

Most of my Scrapbooking Crops (and the ones I attend) are at least 12 hours long.

Now to the decorating!!!
I love to decorate just as much as I like to scrapbook.
My daughter Ashley also loves to decorate for these events I host.

Looks like this scrapbooker was chained to her/his chair and needed help completing their page, teehee.

The Halloween banner was from a swap I was part of that Gail (The Happy Stamper) hosted.
I made the second "E"

The zombie area and the dress up center, if anyone didn't have a costume, they could use one of these.

The witches caldron mixing up a brew.

Here is the full view of the witches table.

Here is my craft table.
I have enough room to fit 8 people comfortably....unless you are like some of my friends who like to take over other areas other then their own, lol.

This is a new display this year.
My husband had this fish tank that he built into the wall...all the fish have long ago died, and the tank is dry.
Ashley got me to run to Dollarama to pick up these skeleton piranhas and we tied them to fishing line and dangled them in the tank.

Here are my friends and I.
Lynne, me and Sharon.
Lynne is the Snowflake queen.
I'm a Little Devil.
Sharon is Kitty..meow.
These ladies are some of my biggest cheerleaders 💗💗

Denise is the Ringleader.
Not only in her costume.

My little skeleton cutie Dawson 💗

My oldest daughter Ashley came as a skeleton (as did her babies), Kristy came as a doctor.  Unfortunately Heather didn't dress up.

And here is Sawyer in his costume....which he didn't want to put on at first.

My friend Ingrid came as a pumpkin....she is such a trooper as she had just had carpel tunnel surgery the day before.

So I dressed up her bandage as Ghosty.

We always have such a great time when we are together and 12 hours still wasn't enough time!
I didn't scrapbook, I worked on my knitting that I need to complete for a Christmas gift.

I hope you all have a very Creative day.

Tracy 💗💗💗

Fun with Family and Friends

We have been so busy...but a good busy.
Our summers are so short here in Northern Ontario, Canada, that I try to squeeze out as much fun and outdoor time as I can.

This summer was really special as my brother David, his wife Amanda and their 3 boys came to out here to spend the long weekend with us 💗
My dad and stepmom were planning on coming as well...but sadly were unable to make it 😢
My sister in law/ friend Sharon and her husband Jim also came up the August long weekend.

Here is my little brother and I.
I love to call him my little brother...even though he is over 6ft tall and I am under 5ft, lol.
Most of my family live in a different province than me, so I cherish the time we get together.

Here is Amanda, David's beautiful energetic wife...with 3 young boys she needs all her energy, lol.

This handsome young man is Tom, David and Amanda's oldest son.
He is so smart and a good role model to his younger brothers...if they would follow suit, lol.

Here is Dustin...their middle son.
Dustin is so inquisitive and wants to know everything.

This little cutie is Tristen, the youngest of their 3 boys.
He is so sweet and loves to follow his older brothers, but also loves to play by himself.

And of course I have to share a photo of my little grandson Sawyer.
This little guy has my heart.
He enjoyed watching the older boys play and joining in as well....he also observed the boys fight, but let's hope he doesn't pick that up with his new to be born brother.

We taught the boys how to whistle with grass.
And I got them to play the quiet game...which lasted 45 minutes with Dustin and an hour with Tom...I was impressed, they did better than I ever would, lol.
I also bribed them with chocolate treats to deter them from poking and pushing each other...which actually worked, so you know they are related to me, as I would do most anything for chocolate.

Another way to keep busy active boys occupied...let them bury each other in the sand at the beach, lol.
They really enjoyed this.

We all enjoyed a night fire with toasted marshmallows, Smores and banana boats.
Sharon and I stayed up way past our bedtime....actually we stayed up way past everyone's bedtime as her and I sat around the fire long after everyone else went to bed.
I can't tell you how much I loved that.

Besides the cute boys that I spent my weekend with, my middle daughter Heather came out to spend time with us at the cottage.

My oldest daughter Ashley and her husband Tyler enjoyed the weekend with us.

My baby Kristy and her boyfriend Blake were out here as well.

And can't forget my silly husband Wayne 💗

My SIL/girlfriend Sharon came out with her husband Jim.

We always celebrate Jim's birthday out here.
The boys were excited that there was birthday cake...and Dustin (accidentally) got icing on his finger..I had to explain to him the difference of accidentally and on purpose..I don't think he cared, as long as he got to lick the icing from his finger, lol.

Wayne and I are so so happy that my daughter Ashley and her husband Tyler bought our other camp, which is right next door to our new one.
There is nothing as special as having my grandson Sawyer coming over whenever he wants, or to hear him calling us from their camp 💗

I have a good life and I know it...I am a very lucky person to have my family so close to me, and that they want to be close to Wayne and I.
I am also very lucky to have friends that enjoy the time we spend together and that I can confide in and that we can count on each other.
Some may think I am bragging on here, but this is not only a place to share my crafts, but also a place to document my life and what is happening in it, it is for me to look back on when my days aren't so bright so I can smile and know that I am loved and how many I love right back.
And with a world where not all is happy and there is so much hate and jealously, why not focus on the good and happy times 💗

I hope you are all enjoying your summer

Tracy 💗💗💗

Girls Creative Getaway

If you have been a reader of my blog and know anything about me, then you know how important my family and friends are to me.

Every year my girlfriend (of over 30+years) and I go on a little trip.
For the last (many years) we have been going to Mink Mountain.
We rent a cabin for 4 days, we create, hike, relax in the hot tub and just enjoy each other's friendship.

Hard to tell, but we just walked up a huge hill, and complained the whole time....but we did it again the next day, lol.

Debbie taking a photo of the solar eclipse...I kept telling her she needed to get back inside.
Silly lady, but I think she may have got a photo of it.

This little cutie came right up to our patio door.
He even brought us a dead bird, lol.
I think he wanted to exchange it for what we were having for dinner, lol.

We enjoyed a nice hot tub every night.
Scrapbooking all day and night as well as our hikes, this sure eased our muscles.
And besides the spiders that I had to clear away for Debbie, we had a couple of these beauties come and visit us during our soak.

Such a beautiful view of the lake from the cabins deck!
Love Lake Superior.

First place I stopped before heading home, was to visit this little guy.
I think he even missed me.
After I fed him lunch, he fell asleep in my arms...I didn't want to put him down.

As much as I missed him, I did get to see him a lot in photos this week, as all my scrapbook pages were of him.
He will have his album completed before my own daughters are, lol.

I hope you all have a very creative day and I plan on sharing my layouts soon :)

Scrap 4 Heart Crop

Never a dull moment when we are all together :)
This years theme for the crop was Tropical....and my friends like to take it to the next level...and we did, lol.
How cute are these aprons...I mean our bod's, teehee.
We started with the shenanigans in the early morning....I guess the girls like my coconuts ;)

Here I am trying my selfie stick again...I can never find the button on this thing.
Here is my good friend Debbie and I.

Look at these kissy lips, lol.
They were chocolates, but we can play with our food...right, lol
This is my friend Denise and Lynne :)
Okay....now it is time to get to work....but don't worry, we still had a lot of laughs :)
Awwww....time to pack up and say good-bye :(
Time sure flies when your having fun.
I have been going to this event for 6 years now.
I have gone when it was my husbands birthday, or on our Anniversary...but this year it was a little later in the month, so I didn't miss anything :)
As much as I love going to this event, as it is special to me as the Heart & Stroke foundation puts it on...this year it wasn't up to par with the past years.
Some of the ladies I had chatted with, were very disappointed with it this year and are having second thoughts on going next year.
We only have 3 crops here in my city a year (besides the ones I put on) and I want to support them so they will keep putting them on.

I will be going again next year, as well as all of my friends...no matter where we are, we always have a great time :)

I hope you all have a very Creative Day.

Fun with Friends at Crop & Create

Here are my crazy and fun friends at the Crop & Create event.

It is hard to get us all in a photo together….they are so hard to discipline, lol.

Our friend Sharon wasn't able to make it this year…she was on a bus tour….poor girl, teehee.
Lynne and I took a photo with our missing friend ;)

This is what my friend Debbie and I had for a snack.
Now tell me, who brings healthy snacks to a crop….Debbie apparently, lol.

My neck was stiff from painting the garage trim…..so Lesli gave me a massage….now that is a friend ;)
I have to say she was very good…..I could use another one Lesli ;)

Here is Lesli and I at the photo wall :)
You may recognize Lesli from her blog Vintage Scraps

They had a lot of fun props at the photo wall :)
And here is Caroline and I having some fun with them :)

Oh there we are ;)
Caroline may look familiar as her blog is Caroline's (not so) New Hobby

Since a lot of my friends are into those Adult colouring books, when we went for lunch…Lynne grabbed a few children's activity sheets and crayons for the ladies.
Verna one upped her and coloured it in, lol.

I can not tell you how much fun I have with these ladies :)
I am looking forward to the next crop we attend…..I think the next one will be at my house though.

I hope you had a very creative day :)

Tracy :)
