Scrap for Heart 2017

This past Saturday was the Scrap for Heart Crop Event!!
I love a good crop ;)
I have been going to this event every February since 2011.
My friends and I always have a great time...but with my friends it would be hard Not to have a great time :)
With all of the chatting, visiting and walking (yes my friend and I would take breaks and walk...got in my over 10,000 steps that day!) I did complete 6 layouts.
2 of which I have photos on...which Kristy says is all I got done. Because in her eyes a layout isn't complete unless it has photos.

I made a little kit to do pages for the 1/2 Marathon my friend Debbie and I completed in 2014.
I had been bringing this little kit for these pages to every crop I have attended.
I was determined to complete it at this one.

Here is the second page to this layout.
I saved the newspaper from that day with our times and a bit of a write up of the event.
Simple layout...but I like how they turned out :)

Here are a few of my friends and I.
This photo was taken later in the evening, so a few of our friends had left already.
It was a PJ theme crop.
I am not one to go out in pyjama pants, but at the last minute decided to just go with the flow, lol

Can you believe I only brought one tote for a 12 hour crop!!!
I couldn't and neither could any of my friends, teehee.
To make it easier on myself, I just brought some kits, extra matching papers for the kits (as I like to extend my kits) adhesive, trimmer and scissors.
Ok, ok, I also brought some punches, mini stapler and anything else I could fit in the tote, but still only one :)
But truth be told, I did bring a small bag with the treat bags I made for my friends and my munchies ;)

I hope you all have a very creative day :)

Scrap 4 Heart Crop

Never a dull moment when we are all together :)
This years theme for the crop was Tropical....and my friends like to take it to the next level...and we did, lol.
How cute are these aprons...I mean our bod's, teehee.
We started with the shenanigans in the early morning....I guess the girls like my coconuts ;)

Here I am trying my selfie stick again...I can never find the button on this thing.
Here is my good friend Debbie and I.

Look at these kissy lips, lol.
They were chocolates, but we can play with our food...right, lol
This is my friend Denise and Lynne :)
Okay....now it is time to get to work....but don't worry, we still had a lot of laughs :)
Awwww....time to pack up and say good-bye :(
Time sure flies when your having fun.
I have been going to this event for 6 years now.
I have gone when it was my husbands birthday, or on our Anniversary...but this year it was a little later in the month, so I didn't miss anything :)
As much as I love going to this event, as it is special to me as the Heart & Stroke foundation puts it on...this year it wasn't up to par with the past years.
Some of the ladies I had chatted with, were very disappointed with it this year and are having second thoughts on going next year.
We only have 3 crops here in my city a year (besides the ones I put on) and I want to support them so they will keep putting them on.

I will be going again next year, as well as all of my friends...no matter where we are, we always have a great time :)

I hope you all have a very Creative Day.

A crop Layout

Here is a page I had done at my Scrap for Heart crop I attended last Saturday.
See Nancy, I did more then just Wayne's birthday card, teehee.

If you remember I have a little 6x6 album (two actually) for layouts I do that involve crafting with my friends.
These are the latest layouts I made for that album.

I know I have shared these photos of my friends quite a few times in layouts or just on my blog or Facebook page, but I really love them.
I love the backdrop that the ladies from the Crop and Create event put up and also love the photo that Catherine (the founder and publisher of Scrapbook & Cards Today) took with my cell phone :)

I had to play with that banner punch that Wayne bought me for Christmas…its just so cute.

Here is the full 2 page layout again.
If you would like to take a peek into my 1st 6x6 mini album, I have done a video and here is a link to that ;)

I little bit of cropping

I had a blast at my crop last Saturday.
I enjoyed teaching my class, and I hope the ladies and young girl who took it had a great time as well.
I can't tell you how much fun we had.
I am posting some photos, but haven't asked my friends if I could post the silly photos of them…its great when I take the photos, as I'm not in the silly ones ;)

I had to make Wayne a birthday card while I was there.
I didn't have any of my stamps,
I didn't have any of my Copics,
So this is what I came up with :)

Here is my group of friends :)
These girls are such a fun bunch.
We laughed so much I cried away my make up, lol.
There were 3 newbies to our group this year :)

Now don't we look like a creative group concentrating on our work ;)

I don't think Lynne liked our teasing to much ;)
She loves us, really she does.

Great friends, great laughs, great food and a great time creating.
I hope you all had a creative Monday :)

Valentines Treat Pocket Class…using up your scraps

I am going to finally share my class project that I am going to teach at the Scrap for Heart crop I am attending this Saturday….wow that is tomorrow :)

Because the teachers are all volunteering their time and supplies for these classes, (as this is a charity event for the Heart and Stroke foundation) I had to come up with something, quick, inexpensive and (hopefully) fun.
So I came up with these Valentines Treat Pockets.
Of course you can make them any theme you like, but decided on Valentines as it is the next holiday :)

I used envelopes and paper scraps….now I know we all have a few of those laying around :)
The pocket in the middle I put treats in, but the one on the end I will use for a pocket in my scrapbook or Smash book :)
I am linking this project up to Paper Issue, "Fill 'er Up" Challenge

As an added bonus, I made a video on how i made these and also how I mad the accordion embellishment out of a cupcake wrapper.
Here is a link to this project on my
YouTube Channel Tracy's Treasures24

I hope you all had a very creative Friday.
I am off to get ready for FNS and double checking my bags for the crop tomorrow.
I keep thinking I haven't brought enough supplies as one of my bags is only 1/2 full.

2013 Monthly Tags and a project in the making

Keeping with the theme of January being my "catching up" month.
I made a video of all of my tags that I had made for my "Tim Holtz" monthly tags.
I started the year off great by making a video of each of my tags….I think that ended in about April, lol.
So enjoy the show ;)

I was asked if I wanted to teach a class at the "Scrap for Heart" crop I am attending in February.
Thank you Denise :)
I love to share anything creative, so figured why not.
Here is my work in progress, teehee.
You can see a bit of the project peeking out from the stack of envelopes ;)

Ashley came by tonight.
She and a friend were out photographing around town, so she came over for supper….funny she just happened to have her laundry with her, lol.
She was really hungry when she got here and wanted some cereal, only to discover all of our bowls were in the dishwasher….which was running.
But I taught my daughters that if they have a problem, to figure it out…she did, lol.

Off to write up a description of my project to send to the Scrap for Heart organizer :)
I hope you all had a very creative Sunday :)
