Blogging from Camp, Who knew !

Hi bloggers I am bringing this post from our camp.
Well actually it is from our friendly English River Inn. They allowed us to use their WIFI for a small fee. I tried to post a picture but it is toooooo s l o w.
I am sitting outside at a picnic table. It is beautiful here today, it went over 30 oC. Everyone went in the lake.
Hubby was nice enough to make me bacon and eggs for breakfast. At 8:30 am. 8:30 AM, I should be sleeping at 8:30 am on the weekends. So I did get up as he was kind enough to make me some as well. He later told me he thought it was 9:30 (still to early in my opinion). But he was up at 6:30!!!! Crazy Man.

So since I was up early I went for my walk down the pipeline to the highway and back. Went on the lawn swing after and took a little nap.
I watered my neighbours flowers as she is back home in the States for a couple weeks. Did some chores around camp.

It is hard to see the monitor outside in the sun, so I will go and enjoy my evening. Unfortunately we can't have a fire as there hasn't been any rain here lately and it is very dry. So I will do my 4 laps to the pipeine and around the hotel and then call it a night.
Hubby and I went to sleep at 10:30 pm last night. That is way early for me. Guess I was tired from all that running around yesterday, or from the stress of driving my jeep in the pit. LOL

Hope you are having a good weekend.

I love my Jeep

I LOVE my Jeep.
I love the colour.
I love the shape.
I love to clean it, Ya I am weird.
I love to drive it
But I didn't want to be in it today. Today I wanted to get my crafting on. But no such luck.
I took Ashley to work, then went for my walk.
Then went to the pit as hubby found some wild tiger lilies that I was going to dig up and plant at our cottage. Heather came with me as she wanted to drive around there. Well I couldn't find hubby. Then I phoned his cell and he told me how to get to him. He called them roads. I call them trails made by the bulldozer that had stumps ruts and rocks on them. One hill was so steep that you couldn't see the bottom. I kept asking him "Are you sure I go down this thing". He assured me that I was going the correct way and we would be fine.
Heather on the other hand was saying "Mom I don't want to go down there, I really don't want to go down this way". She said this with terror in her voice.
Good thing I have a 4x4 or we would never had made it. And to think we had to go up this same hill on the way back.

Heather did get to drive. She did pretty good, almost backed into a sand pile, but all went well.
We came back home had a quick lunch, did some laundry. Then Kristy, Heather and I went to the mall to look for a bathing suit for Heather. Ran and picked up Ashley some headphones. Went to superstore for a few things, then to Home Hardware for a few things. Back home, to do a switcheroo with the laundry (on the line outside). Then to M&M meats and lastly picked up Ashley from work.

Now I am packing to go to our cottage.
See, I must love my jeep, I spent all day in it.

Hope you have a good weekend.

Lunch with my bro :)

This afternoon I went out with my brother for our yearly birthday lunch. His birthday was July 5th and mine the 24th.
This is my oldest brother Darrell. I have 5 siblings, Darrell is the oldest boy and I am the oldest girl.
He married my hubby's sister. Wayne and him have been friends since high school.
We have been through a lot growing up. We were always there for each other, so much so that when I moved out of the house when I was 16 he let me live with him. I think we lived together for about 6 months, then he had to move to Saskatchewan for work for a few years. He is living here now.
When he was 16 and had his licence and a car he would take me cruising. Mind you I had to pay for the gas. ( I lived in the country, I would do anything to go to town at night). LOL.
I always felt safe with him, I knew no matter what happened he would be there to protect me.
I have always looked up to him as a brother and a friend. I remember a story my step mother (Doreen) has told me. When we were visiting her and my dad, I guess we did something wrong (yes hard to believe I know) and she put us in a room until my dad got home from work. She could hear us talking so she listened in. The conversation went something like this....
Darrell: "We don't have to listen to her, right Tracy"
Me: "Right Darrell".
Darrell: "She's not our mom, right Tracy".
Me: "Right Darrell".
No matter what he said, my reply was "Right Darrell". Doreen was giggling from the other side of the door I am sure of it.
Now as an adult, I may not agree with everything my brother says, but I still respect his opinion and love him with all my heart.
I am lucky to have an older brother like him.

Today, besides going out for lunch, I finished my book work and balanced month end. You can not imagine the joy, I do a little dance and do some whooping noises. Really I do, just ask my girls, or look at them rolling their eyes teehee.
I brought Heather out to the pit to grease the trucks. WOW is that a messy job. Her coveralls were covered in grease. The coveralls were way to big, she kept stepping on them teehee. She was wondering if they would get her a bio-hazard suit, that would be epic, (her words) LOL. Today was her first day.

Thankful Thursday
1. My brother
2. finishing my month end
3. crafting tomorrow WAHOO
4. chatting with my niece.

What are you thankful for today?

Texting whats that?

I have a cell phone not because I wanted one, but because the boss's figured that all of us office staff should have one for company use. Now I don't get many calls on it, but now that I have it I think I would miss it if I didn't have it.
Now we have texting. We have had it for months, but I wasn't interested in learning how to do that.
Well hubby keeps texting me during the day. He leaves me sweet comments or asks me to guess the movie quote. He can't hear the phone ring as he drives heavy machinery, but he will check his texts once in a while.
So I figured that I would try to learn how to text.
I got Kristy to teach me. She was very frustrated with me LOL. She would say mom its just easier if I do it for you.
I told her "I taught you to walk, talk, eat with utensils and how to use the toilet, you can teach me this". LOL.
I think I finally got it! Mind you it took awhile, and when I finally sent this text to hubby, I sent it to everyone in my contacts teehee. So my girlfriend texts me and says "You are so cute, good for you".
It takes me forever to send a message, I may just stick to phoning, its faster.

So I worked ALL day today. I long to do some creating.
Late last night I checked out some YouTube video's. I really liked Jann's mini album http://www.youtube.com/user/WhatYouMakeIt1#p/u/18/bIND5T6RfpU. So I commented on it and she offered to send me some die cut chipboard pieces. What a sweetie.
I love that us crafters are such a giving and generous bunch.
Makes me want to do a give away.
Yup I'm going to do it. After I am finally finished my work. But it is going to be a secret giveaway. Ooops I was never good at keeping "good" secrets :)

Hope your Wednesday was a crafty one, can't wait for my crafty days again.

Lunch with a good Friend

This afternoon I took my bestest friend Debbie out for her Birthday lunch. Her birthday was on the 4th, but Sunday we were all up at our camps and Monday was a busy day for her at work. Well so was today, but she is always busy.
Here is a layout I did on our Friendship. I did this layout a few years ago, the pictures were taken a few years before that LOL. Actually that first one was taken when I was living on my own, so I was about 17 or 18, You do the math LOL. I couldn't find a good recent picture with the two of us.
Nice hair eh?

Debbie and I met through work. She invited me to eat lunch with her. And then I found out she was married to a guy that I went to school with. We also realized we went to the same kindergarten class, we could have even been in the same class. I even wrote about her in my grade 7 or 8 journal. My girlfriend (Robyn) and I would go to the mall and check out guys, you know you did that too. And the one guy I had my eye on (he had his eye on me too) was sitting with a blond girl. I later find out in our friendship that she was dating him, so she was the blond. Destiny, maybe.
Yes we have been through alot together. But one thing our friendship is still strong. We may not see each other as much as we would like, we may not talk to each other as much as we would like, but when we just pick up from where we were.

So ladies why don't you pick up the phone, call your girlfriend and make arrangements to get together and have some girl time. You know we all need to vent about our hubby's LOL.

So what have you done to make you feel proud?

1. I didn't snap at the lady at the Ministry of Transportation. There are some b1tchy women out there.
2. Spent time with a friend
3. Took 2 mini naps, I guess this heat is getting to me.
4. Went for a 1/2 hour walk

Happy Mail, yeah.

Today I got some "Happy Mail" :)
One of my blogging friends and I did a tag swap, and I received the tag she made me :)

Isn't it just beautiful. Plus all the goodies she gave me. WOW.

Today was spent working, working, working.
Ashley had her 1st day of work today. She had orientation today and then training for the next 6 weeks.

Seriously nothing else happened today. Thankfully the tag came in the mail today or else I would have nothing to write about. Well except taking Ashley and Kristy to the Mall and me trying on a few tops and hating the 10 lbs I have to lose. LOL.

Hope your Monday was a creative one.

Happy 4th

We came home from camp early today as it was raining. Well let me correct myself, it was pouring.
Guess what I did on my drive home. Yup crochet some butterflies and flowers. I need some new patterns LOL.

So right now I am watching Zombieland. I love this movie. And really what is not to love, Zombie's and comedy.
I am also working. Yup month end, time to get the billing done. So no creating for me this week.
I am also writting my blog entry. Told you I like to multi task. :)
Grabbed McDonalds for supper, Yuck.
Talked to my dad. I think he has telepathy and knows when I get home from camp. He said he didn't think I would be home. I should check caller ID and see how many times he phoned as he just keeps phoning until I get home. He hardly ever leaves a message, just keeps dialing teehee.

Talked to my girlfriend Debbie, it is her Birthday today. She is busy tomorrow with work stuff, so I will take her out for her Birthday lunch on Tuesday.

Time to get back to work. I feel as I am behind as I was away all weekend, I refuse to bring work to camp. I have in the past, but always felt the pull to work on it. So now I just leave it at home. But it is the 4th of July already.

Oh ya Happy 4th of July to my American friends, hope you had a good day.
