Creative Project Planner
I told you yesterday, that I would share with you what I was working on.
Sorry to disappoint you...it isn't a new mini album like some of you had hoped for :(
But what it is, is a ....... I am not exactly sure what you would call it, lol.
I picked up this really pretty journal from Barnes and Nobel when we were down in the States a few months ago.
Not only was it pretty, it was also on clearance.
It is pretty big, 11.5"x9.5"
I don't want to alter it, as it is so pretty as it is.
Oh you want to know what I am doing with this, teehee.
I am planning on making it a creative project planner...hey thats a good name for it ;)
I am going to post the projects I want to make each month and decorate the pages.
I am thinking of also adding tabs for each month, depending on how many pages I do each month.
So far I have 3 pages back and front. Yes I have high hopes to get lots done this month ;)
I can't show my other pages as some of my projects are for some friends and I don't want them to know about them until they receive them.
Even though the paper is pretty thick, my inking seeped through to the back of the page, so I added pattern paper to the back of them. I like this for the added colour and I can use some of my older papers.
I wanted to try my hand at art journaling with all the gesso and such, but for this book I want to keep the pages flat. So I am just going to use my stamps and adhering some papers. But still keeping it pretty flat.
Onto My Day:
I kind of took it easy today. My knees were killing me today, actually the last couple days, but today was a day to take it easy.
Plus today was another freezing cold day...so a good day to stay indoors.
I worked a bit on organizing in my laundry room, you know since my girls stole my storage cabinet for that room yesterday, lol.
Actually now that I think of it....today was a very uneventful day for me.
My best friend's daughter got engaged today...Congrats Kaitlyn :)
I hope you have all had a creative Sunday :)
Tracy :)

Cute idea. I hope this keeps track of all your projects. Very cold here too--yes, I would love to be somewhere warmer, right now!
ReplyDeleteThe cover is to pretty to need anything on it, as you said! Sounds like a totally neat use, love what you have done so far already!
ReplyDeleteIt's look great Tracy, you're gonna love art journaling. If you don't wanna add patterned paper, you could apply some gesso to prime the paper and that will keep ink from seeping through on you. Have fun with your new creative journal!!
ReplyDeletethis is so cool!! i can totally see you loving art journalling--
