I am so proud to be a Canadian.
I am so lucky to live in this beautiful Country and be surrounded by nature.
When I was in my late teens an older gentleman asked me what nationality I was.
My reply...I'm Canadian.
I know that wasn't the answer he wanted.
But I was born and raised here. Does it matter where my grandparents and great grandparents came from?
As it turned out, when I told him my nationality. His response..."I guess its true, you can't judge a person by their nationality". Crazy ol' man, lol.
I am Canadian, and proud of it :)

It was a beautiful evening, even the bugs weren't a bad as the night before :)
If you are wondering about the bug bite under my eye?
Put it this way....I am planning on staying home tomorrow.
It looks like I was in a tussle and got the worst of it, lol.
Lets hope it goes away soon, we need groceries ;)

Well, sounds like and littel Mr P are twins...he has 2 bug bites just above his eye, two behind his ear, 2 on his forhead on the other side and a zillion more. Poor think...he is the only one that was bitten. His eye swellled shut...we have him on benedryl!
ReplyDeleteUp until I went thru menopause, I was that person that they ate alive...now they mostly leave me alone...thank goodness.

We have never looked back once and thought that we did not do the right thing on leaving the UK. We love it here, our life and our friends! Hugs, Karon.

Happy Canada Day! Love how my hubby is Canadian and yet fails to inform me of any of the holidays! I also understand the answer you gave the old man. I always say I'm an American and don't hyphenate it. My ancestors came over in the mid 1600s so I'm hardly English. Anyhoo, hope you enjoyed your day and the cake looks divine.
