Sprinkle Love-Art Journal page

Can you believe another art journal page!!!
This one was a challenge that my friend Stephanie put out for her and I.
It was actually for last month....but we were both a little busy, so neither one of us got it done.

The challenge theme was "Spread a little Glitter Wherever you Go"
I love hearts and because this was suppose to be for February, I had this idea of sprinkling hearts on the page.
I used a few products that I had in my stash that I had never used before.
These letter stamps is one of them...I have had these in my stash for probably over 20 yrs and have not yet used them.

This Angiegirl stamp from Angie Blom called Nancy Girl is another supple I had in my stash for a year or so, and this was the first time she saw some ink.

I started by enlarging this image to better fit my page and coloured her up with my Inktense coloured pencils adding water to blend.
I spritzed the background with my sprays (which most were clogged, as I haven't used them for awhile) and did a bit of stenciling with some distress inks.
I then punched a lot of tiny hearts and adhered them to the page and then added glitter and sparkle to them with my Wink of Stella glitter pens and some Stickles.

I am really liking how this page turned out....not quite how I had imagined, but that seems to happen when I art journal.
I also did a process video on how I made this page...so if you wan to see it you can watch the video below or click on my YouTube link to watch it :)

Winter Fun Tag

I was asked it I had wanted to join a tag swap hosted by my friend Stephanie.
Stephanie usually put on art journal challenges for each other, but we kind of slacked on this last year.
My friend Debbie and I decided to join in!!!
The theme was "Winter in Thunder Bay" and was to be created with our mixed medium supplies.
When I first heard the theme, I thought of skating because I loved to skate as a young girl and taught myself some pretty awesome moves, teehee.

 Here is my completed tag.
I used a white tag and used a tree stencil and used distress ink for the background.
I then used a stencil with tiny dots and added glass bead gel to make the tiny snowflakes.
I wanted to add some stars as I enjoyed skating at night...but I didn't have some....but figured it is art, so I made the wood veneer snowflakes into my stars :)
Lastly I added the 1/2 crystals to the background.

I also used Wink of Stella on the ice.
It is hard to see in this photo, but it is there.

Copic was having a colour challenge.
It was to use only 3 colours.
This month the colours were BV02, B91 and V17.
Besides her hair and skin colour those are the only 3 colours I used on this adorable Angie Blom image from her Angiegirl collection.
I LOVE her images.

Here is my completed tag.
Guess what....I also did a process video on how I made this tag!!
It has been awhile since I did a process video.
If you would like to watch it on my YouTube channel, just click on the link "Tracy's Treasures24"

Thank you so much for coming to visit me on my blog today.
I hope you all have a very Creative Day :)

Almost caught up

Isn't this such a beautiful image!
It is one from Angie Blom, she is such an amazing artist :)
I love when Crop & Create comes to my city and I get to chat with Angie.

I am still working in my journal or my Fauxbonichi.
When I get behind, I usually work from the most current date back.
I am almost caught up :)
Both of these gorgeous images are from Angie.
I started with some distress inks for my backgrounds and then stamped on my images.
I knew I didn't have much to journal about, so wanted to add some colour to my pages.
Even though my stamping wasn't perfect, I have learned to let it go....but only in this journal, lol.

Hope you all have a very Creative Day :)

Unity Stamps and AngieGirls

I didn't share my most bestest shopping goodies from our trip :)

I love these Angie Girl images created by Angie Blom..love, love, love them…can you tell ;)
The girl with her head down reminds me of my daughter Kristy..they have the same hair style.
Then there is this girl holding the hot chocolate…I know most will say she is holding coffee,  as I don't like the taste of coffee, mine is holding hot chocolate ;)

See the girl sitting down reading the book. Now she reminds me of my daughter Heather..who loves to read.
And the girl with the long wavy locks with the hat…well, she looks like my daughter Ashley on her honeymoon…I have a photo to prove it, teehee

I had placed this big order with Unity stamps quite a while ago and decided to get the free delivery, by getting them shipped to the border.
Great idea right…..
Well because this sale was so big, they didn't get shipped out in time for Wayne and I to pick them up when we went on our trip, last month.
They just happen to come in the day After we came home.
Not Unity's fault, I just thought that they would have been in, from how long they took from previous orders I had placed.

When we went on this last trip, I knew they were in and was so excited to pick them up.
Disappointedly they couldn't find my package :(
I was so scared that they had lost it, or shipped it back, as I didn't pick it up right away.
They knew we wanted to get back on the road…as we were there 6:00am.
They reassured me that they would find it, and I could pick it up on our way back home that Sunday.
I have to tell you I was pretty relieved when we got there on Sunday and my parcel was waiting for me :)

I hope you all had a very Creative Day.
Being as it is Friday Night Scrapbooking I will :)

Come Little Children…art journal page

Happy Halloween :)
Hope you get lots of Trick or Treaters tonight.
Here is my treat, as I don't like to trick.

Caroline and I have resumed our monthly Art Journal Challenges.
This months challenge was to do a Halloween theme and/or collage.
If adhering the fence, bat and word strips is collage, then I succeeded in doing both…but I am guessing mine is more just on the Halloween theme :)

Fist thing I did was use some mists and sprayed the yellow/orange colour for the moon. I also added a bit of white on there as well.
Then to do the purple sky.

I was to lazy to pull out my Cricut to cut the perfect sized circle I wanted.
So I ran upstairs and grabbed a saucer…worked great!
It washed off nicely as well.
The only problem is that when I pulled the plate away, I got 2 streaks on the moon…no biggie, I actually like it and couldn't have planned it that if I wanted.
But…as I moved the plate, a drop of ink fell on the moon, that also wasn't planned and I wasn't as happy about it.

I then stamped my images with black ink and then coloured them with black markers, as I wanted them in silhouette.

These Stampin' Up images of the children were not dressed up for Halloween, so I helped them along.
I drew the horns and tail for the devil boy, the crown for the princess and the tiara and wand for the fairy :)

I used this Unity Angiegirl stamp as is and just coloured the witch and cat in with a black marker

Next I added the fence and some grass.
These were both done with border punches.

At first I was going to write these lyrics out by hand….then I came to my senses and used the computer.
These lyrics are from the movie "Hocus Pocus".
I inked them with a bit of distress ink and adhered them on :)

As easy as this page was to do…I did have some technical difficulties….but  I will give you the illusion that everything went perfectly, teehee.
But if you really want to hear how it all really went down, you can check out my video :)

If you would rather watch my video on my YouTube channel, then click on the link :) Tracy's Treasures24

I hope you all have a very Happy Halloween.
I am entering my page in the Emerald Creek Dares: Tricks & Treats challenge.
I am also entering my page into the Simon Says: Anything Goes challenge…I choose Augusts challenge theme, which was to use 3 colours.

Live Carefree….art journal page.

Picture heavy, but oh so pretty ;)
Plus a video at the end of the post on my process :)

Here is my 5th page to "Caroline's" (check out her blog to see her take on our challenge) and my Art Journal Challenge.
This time it was to use our Dylusion sprays…which I always seem to call "Delusional Mists"
The colours of these sprays are so vibrant and beautiful.
I had so many ideas for these pages, but still had no idea what I was gong to do
When I told my daughter "Ashley" about how vibrant and bright the sprays are, she suggested a sunset…..hmmmmm another idea to work with ;)

I really liked the idea of a sunset, so I picked some sprays that might work with that look….but I still had no idea what I was going to do.

After spraying on the mists…I tried my hand at "Ghosting"
Ghosting is putting a stencil down and misting water on the stencil and then blotting it with a paper towel to pick up some of the colour.
Because this is a water based product and has other properties that a chemist would understand, the colour lifts and you can lightly see the stencil image….pretty cool.

Here is a closer look at the ghosting and the stamps I used for this page.
See those 2 top areas on my pages that didn't get colour?
I must have had some matt medium or glue seep onto those pages from previous ones, and being a water based product, the inks resisted where the glue was.

Time to add my image :)
I picked an Angiegirl image by Angie Blom from Unity stamps called Beach Girl.
This image was perfect for my page.
She looks like she is enjoying the sunset at the beach….oh we need some sand for the beach…just a minute.

I loved all of the sentiments that came with this stamp set, but the text was all to small for my pages.
I still used one of the phrases, but stamped the first letter of each word out and hand wrote the rest of it.
I would have loved to use stamps for the whole phrase, but I didn't like that they were all capital letters and the word "Carefree" wouldn't have fit this font.

I also stamped some birds in the background of the pages…..every beach has birds.
Oh yes, and sand.
I covered the top of my page up to protect it and then used some brown mist or spray and sprayed it from a distance so it would lightly mist the bottom of the page to look like a sandy beach :)

I hope you enjoyed my Art Journal page…but wait there is more :)
I made a process video for you…lots of blabbering, I really should learn to do voice over videos…but then again, that is another step I don't' have time for, lol.
If you would rather watch my video on my YouTube channel for a complete screen, as my blog seems to cut off part of it, just click on my link "Tracy's Treausres24"
If you read all the way through this post you are a champ :)

I hope you all have a very creative Day :)
