A Procrastinator, living in the Present?!

For this year I want to focus on the present.
Being the true procrastinator that I am, I seem to let things go for another day.
I blame this on my dad (isn't everything is wrong in our lives our parents fault, lol).
He always told me "Why do today, what can be put off till tomorrow" LOL.
I am great at following this rule.
But for 2014 I want to be in the present and not work on past projects.

With that being said, I am dedicating January to catching up and keeping up.
I have quite a few YouTube videos and new projects I have been planning on making for months now…but for some reason or another, put them off for a mother day.

I am still learning iMovie on my Mac Book, and quite honestly, I don't really like it.
I can't (or don't know how) to fade in and out my music.
I can't (don't know how) to add coloured text.
And it takes me forever to edit parts of the movie as there isn't a back button to erase my screw ups.
I told Wayne I need and iMovie for Dummies book, as I haven't had much help from the internet.

Talk about playing catch up this month, I finally made a video of this tag I had made last August.
I haven't even mailed it out to the recipient yet…good thing it was a gift she knows nothing about, lol.
Onto My Day:
Wayne went to the cottage to plow some snow.
We were going to spend the night, but were late in our decision and we still aren't feeling 100%, so we changed the plans.
I stayed home and he went by himself.
Unfortunately on the way home, he got a flat tire. Well actually he had a blow out.
If that wasn't bad enough, he couldn't get the rim off.
So after a lot of phone calls, CAA was going to meet him..but he would have to wait 2 hours.
My Wayne is not one to wait around, so he kicked the sh1t out of the rim until it came loose.
Have you ever seen a tire with a blow out like this…wow.

As Wayne was struggling with his tire, I went to my craft room to clean it up a bit.
Funny how having a clean work desk makes me want to create….even though I was walking around bags and boxes as the rest of the room is trashed, lol.
I was having a bit of trouble with my glue bottle. The glue wouldn't' come out…but then….yup, all over my hand, lol.

We all wanted to be together for Christmas morning, so the girls got Ashley to come over at 7:00am so we can open presents together and spend the day together :)
We may not be morning people, but come Christmas morning…..we are, teehee.
If the girls weren't awake…Wayne would nicely wake them up. Yes he is a big kid at heart :)
I love that Ashley came over in her Christmas PJ's and her Sorels :)

I used to shop early for Christmas, but soon learned that Wayne would then go and want to do more shopping for the girls.
So now I wait until we can go together.
Well after I was done with the Christmas shopping, Wayne decided that we should get the girls a big gift as well. He wanted to buy each of them a Mac Book Pro.
At first I said no way, as I feel you need to earn your way in life, but then I thought, Wayne was really excited and I brought him down. Second: Our girls are hard workers and have never in our lives given us any troubles and they are great girls.  Third: they never get extras. Once they finish school, any thing they need, they have buy it themselves. Plus we never buy them something just because.
So I agreed.
I wish the photos I took of them first opening the laptops turned out, as they were in disbelief and totally shocked.

After gifts, we always make Pillsbury   turnovers for breakfast.
A nice tradition that Kristy and I made this morning :)

After that I made my blueberry Cheesecake for dessert at my brother Darrell's, as we go there for Christmas dinner.
Yummy, and came home with only two pieces, teehee.

I'm a Techie ;)

I am so proud of myself :)
You know how technical I am…okay stop laughing.
When I want a photo from my iPhone, for say my blog, I usually email it to myself.
But for the last few days I haven't been getting emails from myself or from Kristy.

So yesterday I transferred or copied all my iPhone photos to my Macbook Pro…...all by myself ;)
Okay, I actually watched a short YouTube video….but I didn't have to ask the family for help this time.
I had 1889 photos on my phone and have had my phone for less than a year.
So now I have 2497 photos on my laptop and have only had that for 4 months
Guess I like to take pictures :)

I heard there were some awesome deals at Michaels this past weekend.
As much as Wayne was encouraging me to go and check out the sales, I just wanted to stay at home on Sunday. Plus I really don't need any other creative supplies.
But this morning, my friend Lynne wanted me to go with her to Michaels as she was excited about the paper packs being on sale.
So I went, just to tag along…ya right, lol.
Mind you I think I had the least amount of goodies. I didn't even need a cart or a basket for that matter….but Lynne on the other hand…..lets just say she found a lot of goodies ;)

More Paining and Day 19

Day 19 of 30 Days of Thankfulness.
Today I am Thankful for my laptop….and pretty red mouse ;)
I know I spend to much time on this laptop, but…
it is how I get to chat with many of my friends,
it is how I post daily on my blog,
it is how I post my YouTube videos and
it is also how I find some creative inspiration :)

Today I was planning on sharing a project that I had made for someone special.
I have the video done, but haven't edited or posted it to YouTube yet.
The reason…My MacBook Pro didn't read my video camera, so I have been using my old laptop to do all my videos.
I went to go on it today, and it wasn't playing nice.
So Wayne is (hopefully) fixing it. He also sent me drivers (?) for my Mac so I can upload my videos from my video camera to my new laptop.
I hope it works as my video is in my old laptop.

Today was spent at Ashley's house.
Ashley and I painted, Heather raked the front lawn and Kristy was at her boyfriend's house. One of these things is not like the other, lol.

Ashley has been asking me to do this one big project for her, since she purchased her home.
I keep putting it off, as I am nervous that I can't make it perfectly.
When I told her that, she said "Mom, I wouldn't have asked you to do it if I didn't think you could….plus you are the master of all things creative".
Now this girl knows how to stroke my ego, lol.
