Any day with these beautiful girls of mine is the best day :)
We celebrated Mother's day on the Saturday.
With Ashley being a mother now herself, we celebrated the day before so she could enjoy her 1st Mother's Day with her husband and son.
My girls and I enjoyed a nice walk around the neighbourhood.
I enjoyed feeding Sawyer his first veggies.
His Grandma Karen fed it to him the day before and the poor little guy hated them...he actually cried and gagged the first time he ate them, lol.
He was better this time, but he still wasn't loving them.
Sunday morning I woke up to this sweet text from Ashley since we didn't see each other on Mother's Day.
Spending the day with my family was all I wanted, but as always they spoiled me :)
I received this beautiful card, a gift card for Michael's (this will help with my no spend on craft supplies challenge).
They bought me a Doxie photo scanner..which I received early.
And my grandson and son-in-law gave me this precious mug <3 p="">
Later on we went out for ice-cream. banana strawberry...yum.
I usually get a kids size cone, but this time I got a small and ate it all, lol.
How did you celebrate your Mother's Day?

Happy Mother's Day!!!!
I have to share with you this card I made yesterday during International Scrapbooking Day.
It is not your typical Mother's Day card as it is for a Mother to Be :)
I used this pretty image from "Stamping Bella called Uptown Girl Brynn" has a baby shower.
But I thought it was great for anyone having a baby..perfect for my Mother's Day card as the recipient loves to shop ;)
Here is my sentiment for this card.
I just printed it on my computer.
The tiny hearts in the background was stamped.
The paper was blank in that area and it just needed something, but I didn't want to take away from the image or the embossing, so I used a very light colour of pink and blue ink and scattered the hearts for a subtle look.
I received this beautiful cardstock from "Paper Garden.ca"
They sent me multiple sheets of 5 of their colours.
I used this beautifully shimmer paper called Stardream Kunzite.
I thought the paper was a great one to use with this uptown girl.
The paper is a soft lilac colour (the photos show up better in the images above.
This time I wanted to try and emboss these papers to see how well they stood up.
I was so impressed!!!
Look how beautifully the embossing shows up, yet (because of the heavy weight of the paper) doesn't rip through the paper.
I thought I would do a sketch challenge.
Funny thing is, I didn't realize the challenge is long over, teehee.
But thought I would share the sketch I used.
The sketch shows 3 different paper strips..which I did, but I fanned mine out.
Here are all of the colours I used to colour in this image.
Yes I used every single one of these markers :)
See I do need all of my Copics ;)

I made this card into an easel card.
I used Mary Engelbreit 6x6 paper collection I had picked up years ago in the dollar section at Michael's.
Onto My Day:
Today being Mother's Day, I got to spend my day with these wonderful young ladies.
Every year I love to spend Mother's day outside with my 3 daughters working in the yard.
A bit of raking, weeding and just sitting around chatting.
This year we hit one of the sheds and cleared it out.
That wasn't on my list, but Ashley started and we just kept at it.
I am so lucky to have these girls in my life.

As you can see, they leave the card making to me, lol.
Before spending the day outdoors, the girls prepared me a wonderful brunch of french toast and fruit salad.
Look how pretty they set up the table :)
Look at the beautiful flowers they got me...I love flowers :)
Love the colours.
After brunch we spent the whole day outside, it was such a beautiful day.
Then for supper Wayne BBQ'd us burgers and baked potatoes...first BBQ of the year :)
And lastly, we had red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing for dessert...yum.
Then sat around chatting the rest of the evening until Ashley headed for home.
Such a perfect day.
I hope you all enjoyed your day and was able to spend it with your family :)

My Mother's Day in Photos
First off, Happy Mother's Day to all of the women out there that have contributed in one way or another to making a child's life it better. Today is for you :)
My day was perfect….just as any day is that I get to spend it with these wonderful ladies.
My 3 beautiful, loving daughters Heather, Kristy and Ashley
My day started with Kristy telling me that she was making me breakfast.
French toast with banana and my hand picked blueberries….yumm.
Kristy then had to go to work, but her boss was sweet enough to let her leave a couple of hours early so she could spend more time with me.
Our plan was to do yard work….we usually all get the yard ready for summer on Mother's Day.
I love spending the day outside with my girls.
But it was cold out there today.
It was 11c which should have been plenty warm, but there was a cool breeze.
We did put up the gazebo, then I called it a day.
The girls were more than willing to do what ever needed done, but I was chilled, so we went inside and chatted most of the day.
I have been wanting an antique/vintage typewriter for a while now.
But am to cheap to pay the price for one, lol.
So my girls and Wayne picked up this beauty for my gift.
This and this pretty plant with the hand made planter pick :)
They also all typed me a letter, which was both sweet and had some humour to it….that is definitely going onto a scrapbook page ;)
Wayne BBQ'd some ribs and potatoes on our new BBQ we purchased yesterday :)
We were all hungry, so we ate dessert first, lol.
My day ended with us all going for a nice long walk around the neighbourhood.
I had the best day :)
I hope you all had a very Creative and wonderful Mother's Day :)

Such a Special Mother's Day
Before I even got out of bed, Kristy came into my room wished me a happy Mothers Day with a hug and informed me I wasn't allowed in the kitchen. Then brought me my iPad to keep me put, lol.
Ashley came by early and my 3 daughters made us a delicious brunch.
We raked, weeded and even did a long time project.
I have wanted to put cement blocks under the garbage cans. So Wayne and I made a trip to the hardware store as the girls stayed back raking the yard.
I couldn't have had a better day then I did today.
Thank you so much Ashley, Hearher and Kristy. Not only did you make my Mother's Day special, but you girls make everyday special.
I hope you all had a wonderful Mothers Day and a creative Sunday.
Tracy :)
