Working on my December Daily

Is anyone else working on their December Daily?
I bought this 25 days of Christmas kit from the Crop & Create a few years ago.
I made this book May of 2015 to use for last December.
But if you remember, I lost all of my photos from December of 2015, so decided to save it for this year.
Guess what....I forgot all about it until last night, lol.
So I decided to work on it, all I have to do is print out the photos and add them to the already completed pages.

I have a Selphy printer...actually I have 2 of them.
My husband purchased the newer one (it is a wifi) and this is the first time I had used it, shhhhh.
I was pretty excited that I didn't have to put my photos on a jump drive to transfer them to the printer to print them out!!
But then my problem was how to print a 2 UP or a collage like this one.
I have a couple of apps on my phone that I use for other projects, but for some reason I couldn't get it to work how I wanted.
Finally realizing I had to play with the ratio, I am happy to say that it works!!!
Then I kept getting a watermark this the apps logo "PhotoGrid" on the bottom right corner.
After printing a few pictures and hiding the logo with embellishments, I found a button on the app to get rid of the watermark, lol.
It was a process, but I think I have finally figured it all out and am ready to complete this project.

There are so many photos of my grandson Sawyer, I should re-name it Sawyers December Daily, lol.

December Daily

Wow, it is December already…where has the year disappeared to?!
But with it being December….that means I can share my Christmas projects now :)

This is the album I am using for my December Daily this year.
I purchased this kit from the Crop & Create event last year…but didn't get to putting it together until this year.
My SIL Sharon and I both purchased this kit and put it together on the Girl's May long weekend :)

I think this album was meant to document the days up to Christmas, I made mine go till the end of the month as we celebrate right up till then :)

Onto My Day:
Today I went to my friend Myra's and we made our chocolate turtles.
So yummy :)
Kristy has been bugging me to put our Christmas tree up, but I don't like it up until at least the 12th.
So I gave her a mini tree to put up in her room.
She ended up putting it down in our reading area :)

May…nope...December Daily

I know what you are thinking…
What!!!!
Tracy is sharing a December Daily in May….she has lost her mind, lol.

And you may be correct….I am never this organized or ahead of the game.
But it did snow the other day, so I may have lost it, lol.

I have a ton of kits.
I wanted to get through some of them this past Girls May Long Weekend.
I wasn't planning to work on this one yet, but Sharon had the same kit and was overwhelmed by the instructions.
So I figured that we should make them together.
She didn't think that we would complete it, as we didn't start until after 9:00 pm, but I was determined to get'er done.
And we did….at 2:00 am.

This kit was actually designed to be a 12 Day's of Christmas album, but I stretched it to be for the whole month of December.
Most of our visiting during the season, is between the 24th to New Year's Eve.
So I wanted it to last for the whole month.
I am so happy with how it turned out.

I will post more photos and a video closer to December…..I haven't totally lost it ;)

Challenge card received and December Daily video

Today I received Phillane's challenge card.
I love this image..even though it isn't a CC Designs image she said we needed to use, lol.
Challenge failed my friend, lol.
Just kidding, this card is stunning.
I love that she used this corrugated card and that she turned the file folder card on its side.
Also the image is adorable, and beautifully coloured.
Thank you so much :)

Our internet has been so slow lately. It reminds me of when we had dial up. The page actually loads slowly in layers.
I put up a video of my December Daily. I started at 9:00pm and it finished 6:00am.
That is 9 hours for a 25 minute video.
I am also wondering if I am uploading to big of a file….so this time around I used a smaller file.
I haven't watched it on YouTube yet to see if there is a difference in quality.

Last pages of my December Daily and FNS !!!!

Here are the last few pages of my December Daily for 2013!!

Day 26
Boxing Day…the day I started to feel yucky.
The letters are Thickers. They were a light peach colour, I didn't like the colour when I bought them, but they were so cheap. So I bought them thinking I could colour them up with my Copics.
I did colour them with my Copics, but they stayed tacky forever.  Maybe I should have sanded them first before colouring.

In the afternoon my friend Debbie and her husband Gerry came for their Christmas visit.
This is a photo of Debbie and I….the smaller photos are of my daughters
I remember thinking on this day…I just have to get through today and tonight, then I can get sick, lol.

Day 26
In the evening we went to my SIL/friend Sharon's for another turkey dinner :)
As the evening progressed I just wanted to get home and take a long hot bath.

My last page in my December Daily.
I was sick every day with a fever and body aches. But I figured I was going to include these days in my album.
Well, I did punch all these number out and added stickles to them, so by George, I was going to use them, lol.

I have no idea why my phone photos of these pages  came out so blurry?
I loved this photo I had seen on Face book, so I printed it up. But no matter how many times I tried, it cut off the sides of the picture. So in order to get the whole sentiment  on my page, I printed it out on my label maker and adhered it to the photo.
So there you have it, my December Daily for 2013 :)

Tonight we are back to Friday Night Scrapbooking ..yahoo.
Sadly a couple of my friends are feeling a cold coming on, so they stayed home tonight.
But I was happy to see Debbie and Sharon…seems like forever since we had a FNS.

Day 15 & 16

Day 15
I used a sticker word "Sweet" as this is what Kristy and Blake are…a couple of sweeties :)
I used these red enamel dots…I love the colour of these.

Day 16
Used a bit of washi tape on this page.
Aren't I a cutie…good thing the photo is blurry, teehee.

Day 17 & 18
More one page spreads :)

Day 17
This was a coffee sleeve that my friend Phillane decorated for me with a pack of hot chocolate :)
I thought it would go perfectly in my DD.
I think Stampin' Up needs to made a punch of this hot chocolate mug. Phillane told me this was actually a sticker…pretty adorable.

Day 18
Shared a couple of projects I had made.
I love the ink cleaner pad I altered for Phillane.

Day 19, 20, 21 & 22

I had even less photos for these days, so put them in half pages.

Both pages only had my challenge photos…except for the yummy food photo of when Wayne and I went out for lupper (lunch/supper)  :)

I will give you a break of my December Daily….until tomorrow.

Onto My Day:
Yesterday we made a decision to eat clean/healthy for 30 days.
Once you tell Kristy something, she is committed.
So committed that she gathered up all of the not so healthy food (including our treats we received as Christmas gifts) packed them in this laundry tote and bagged them up.
Bye, bye yumminess…until we meet again in 30 Days ;)

I had to go get some groceries today, so Kristy and Heather came along.
Because of our 30 Day Healthy challenge, I suggested we try some different foods.
So we picked up this spiky fruit Kiwano horned melon.
I cut it up and we all tried it…let me just say I don't think we will be getting another one anytime soon or ever again.
Wayne took his bite and spit it out…actually so did I, lol.
No one could have described it any better than Kristy did though. Her exact words were "Its like a string of mucus." lol.

December Daily 11-14

Today was another December Daily day ;)
On a happy note, I'm done…I completed my December Daily for 2013 :)
I will share a few of my pages each day.
I can't share them all in one post, it would be a bit too long of a post, teehee.

So lets continue on shall we ….
One thing I did notice was I love to put a lot of photos on my pages.
I also love to journal.

Day 11 and 12
I didn't have as many photos so I did one page for each day.

On day 11 I only had my photos from the photo challenges.
I did get to use a couple of embellishments.
I wanted to go all out with decorating my pages…but because of my love of photos, I wasn't able to do that.

Day 12
I used a couple of 1 3/4 x 2 1/4 photos to fit more on a page.

Day 13 and 14
Funny how you can use papers you think are not so pretty and they look fine once they are decorated….or covered up by photos and journaling ;)

I actually printed out a photo of this snowflake embellishment I made, then thought to myself….why don't I use the real thing, teehee.
It does add quite a bit of bulk to this page, but I like the dimension :)

A few more pages to my December Daily :)
I am so happy that it is finished. And even more happy that I like the pages that I created.
Now to get a start on my Project 365 :)
That is after I clean up my craft laden living room ;)

December Daily 7-10

Still working on my December Daily.
I feel I need to get this album completed before I can move onto any other project.

So here we go …. Day 7

This is our second day of our mini trip.
Mall of America, my girls favourite mall.
It used to be one of mine, until the took out Archivers…now to find out that Archivers is going to be no longer come February 15th :(

While the girls were shopping, Wayne and I walked the mall and stopped for a few treats ;)

Day 8
Doming home from our trip.

I used this "Warm Winter Wishes" rub-on.
I can honestly say that I have had this rub-on for more then 15 yrs.

Day 9 and 10
I didn't have that many photos so made a one page spread for each day.

Day 9
I only had photos from my daily photo challenges.
I used a couple of chipboard pieces.

Day 10
Not the best photo of this page, but you can see layout.

Sharon knows how much I love Peeps.
She bought these for me for Christmas…yup I ate them all today.
I guess that means I'm feeling better, teehee.

Onto My Day:
I cleaned the house and then worked on my December Daily today.
Ashley came by for supper tonight…and to do some laundry, as her dryer is on the fritz.
She and Kristy are doing a 30 day eating clean challenge.
They suggested that Wayne and I join them as well.
So I told Wayne we better pig out on all those boxes of chocolates we got for Christmas gifts by tomorrow, teehee.

December Daily Days 4-6

I should prepare you for photo overload ;)
I actually had more energy today so I got some creating done :)
I am working on my December Daily.

Day 4

I am adding the prompts for the photo a day challenges with my label maker :)
I am cutting them into flag so hopefully they look more decorative.

I am using Simple Stories page protectors, hence the glare on the photos.
I added glitter to the centres of the snowflakes.
The paper has really pretty red sparkle accents in the corners.

Day 5

I think this paper collection is just so pretty with the sparkle in it.
It is My Mind's Eye, Lost and Found Christmas.
I had to actually look that up for you ;)

I also love this paper pack Winter Wonderland by Creative Imaginations.
I love the outdoorsiness to this one.
Had to look that one up as well ;)

Day 6
This was the day we went for our Mini family vacation to Minneapolis.

I had a bit of fun making this banner with one of my new mini banner punches that Wayne bought me for Christmas :)

I wanted to go all out on these pages, but my style is pretty simple as you can see.

My style may be pretty simple…but not the mess I make when I create, teehee.
Wayne and I watched a few movies, so I set up shop in the living room ;)
You think this looks bad…..then you don't want to see my craft room, lol.

Day 2 &3 of my December Daily

I created some more pages in my December Daily :)
I am way more ahead of schedule than last year.
If you remember I didn't even start them until January…and yes I said them.

I am including mine and my girls photo challenge photos in this DD. Which I think is great…especially for those days when the only photos I have are of the challenges.

So far I am doing 2 pages for each day.
But I am giving myself permission to only do one page a day, if that is all I have for that day.
That is a big step for me you know ;)

Day #3
I am using different page protectors for this album.
My plan is to do a full page for the daily (family) photo. and a divided page for the challenge photos.
Have you noticed that Ashley doesn't have any challenge photos for these 2 days…someone fell behind...

I used my camera for these photos.
I thought that they would be clearer than my cell phone, which they are, but they came out a yellow tinge…so I think I will just use my cell phone for the rest.

I am having fun adding decorative elements to these journal cards.
I am adding the journal prompts beside the photos with my label maker.






















I am using the PL journal cards and decorating them up a bit.
Here I used a border strip and just cut the top part of the card to the same shape as the border.
I have also been trimming the cards smaller if I need be.
Just a tip…If you have the envelope punch board, the corner rounder is the exact same roundness as the PL rounded corners…see I just punched the one corner on here and it is exactly the same as the other side. So if you have this tool, you don't need to purchase Becky Higgins Project Life corner rounder :)

Wayne and I went out for a late lunch…yum.
I had so many leftovers, I had more than enough for supper as well :)
