Crop & Create!!

You all know how excited I am to host and to go to crops.
But the big daddy of them all is here again in my city and I am super super excited.
Crop & Create has been coming to our city for 5 years and I have been at this event every single year!!
I love it!!!
This year my friends and I made our own t-shirts :)
Cute right!

My friend Lesli picked up my shirt for me, and it was way to big...I didn't feel like going back to exchange it for a smaller size, so I just took it in....took it way in, lol.
But I kept the length as I am wearing leggings and want the bum covered ;)

Like with every crop I like to make treat bags for my friends :)

I kept the bag simple and just made a washi tape banner and taped it to the bag on either end.

The best part...the goodies ;)
I added some sweats, as I love my sweets as well as a tag, and some twine.
I also stamped this adorable image by Angie Blom.
This image is perfect for this event as they have a photo wall and have a Polaroid frame we can use for pictures

So I am all packed up and just waiting for my friend Sharon to pick me up.
Can you believe this is all I have packed!!!
But I plan on buying, teehee.

Crop & Create and my Treat Bags

I am back from the Crop & Create event, put on by Scrapbook & Cards Today:)
It was a blast…my friends are hilarious and we seem to be the loudest (and I am sure most annoying) table to the others attending the event but whatever…we have a great time, lol.

Not sure what is up with my eye there, lol.

You know I always like to make little treat bags for my friends.
I think they turned out cute!

I have used these treat bags many times, and had to come up with a new way to decorate them :)
So I decided to use a mask and spritz them.
I was going to use water colour markers to spritz them with, but the tool wasn't working nicely…and I was in a rush, as it was a couple of hours until the event, lol.

I covered the bottom and the handles of the bags as I didn't want them done.

See how nice and crisp the spritzing turned out.

There is always so much ink left over on the stencils, that I hate to waste it.

So instead of cleaning it off with a paper towel, I just flip[ed the stencil over and pressed it on the bags for reverse inking.

Pretty cool eh…not as crisp but cool.

Here are the finished treat bags…aren't those butterfly sticks so fun.
I figured that they could be taken off of the sticks and used on a card or scrapbook layout.

I am heading to the States with my friend/SIL Sharon for our yearly girls getaway :)
I am sooo excited.
I packed a few (ya, right…a lot) of scrapbooking project to work on in the hotel room while she is gambling.
Wish her luck ;)

Sharon and I usually go on 2 trips a year …one with my daughters and one with just her and I.
The exchange rate is crazy, as it cost me about $1.34 CND, to purchase $1.00 US
Ouch.
So this year my daughters opted not to go, as well as that is a they would have to take 4 days off of work.
They will come with Wayne and I when we do our family trip/getaway in Nov or Dec.

Treat bags

I made some treat bags for my friends for the crop last weekend.
I love to make these….and since my daughters have been out of school for so long, I enjoy making them for my friends now :)
I just love these blank favour boxes….I have used them many times.
This time I decorated the whole box/bag with decorative paper, I stamped with "for You" stamp and then punched it out to make a tag.

I did a video…not only on these bags, but also share the contents of them :)

Matchbook Treats

I was making some treat bags today and wanted to add some of these in them.
I used my papers that I was gong to donate.
I figured most will throw the package away anyway.

I guess you are wondering what these are, aren't you?
Does this give you a bit of a hint?

I made little matchbooks for some Life Saver mints.
Aren't they cute :)
I am going to a 12 hour crop this Saturday and I always make my friends treat bags :)
After I made these, I thought I should have used prettier paper….but I want to use some of my old paper and this is a perfect project for it.

These are so so simple to make.

Quick Gift Bags for my Crop & Create Friends

As most of you know I like to give a little something to my friends when we go to a crop.
Here is what I made this year with some sugary treats inside to keep them alert during this late night crop ;)

I was short on time for this one, so I had to come up with something quick.
I picked up these treat bags from the dollar store in the wedding section.
Very easy to put together….just fold on the creases and fold the bottom to secure it.

Add some washi tape to pretty it up and add some goodies inside.
Easy Peasy.

But then I got to thinking (as I was just about to fall asleep) I should use these speech bubble chipboard pieces to add their names to them.
So I jumped out of bed and went to work stamping the letters on the speech bubble pieces and adhering them to the containers.
And for an added bonus, using these chipboard pieces is a challenge I put on for my crafty friends :)

I have been having issues with my one tooth, so had a visit with the dentist today.
I LOVE the way they decorated their reception area :)

Luckily my dentist isn't the one described on this sign.
But I have to say, I wasn't excited to be there and to find out that I need a root canal, sadly, a root canal isn't new to me :(
Today I had to get my tooth drilled open to let the rest of the infection drain (so gross) and my appointment isn't until November….so I will be having a gapping hole in my tooth until then.
But onto cooler things….this display is Awesome!!!!
