Ashley found the most fun dresses for her girls.
They are convertible wrap dresses.
Each of the girls played around (way before the wedding day) on how they would like to wear their dresses.
And each girl wore it differently.
If I was on the ball, I would have taken a few close up photos on how each of the girl wore their dress.
I went there with pins in my hand to make sure nothing was showing that they didn't want to show, teehee.
I think each girl had a few pins in their dresses to hide their bra straps or pinned for a different look.
Only 2 of the girls needed me to hem up their dresses…Kristy and Janus :)
I just love this photo of Ashley and Janus.
Ashley and Tyler decided to spend the night in one of the cabins that Chippewa rents out…so nice as it was nice and close to get ready in.
Ashley was changing into some undergarments here….or unchanging as we were experiencing a heat wave here.
This was the hottest day of the year.
I love that Ashley peeked her head out for me to sneak a photo of her.
On the way to Chippewa, I was putting up some signs that we had made to direct the guest to the correct location.
The ground was so hard I couldn't hammer the signs in.
So I used my (GASP) sewing scissors that I had with me (in case I needed to fix any of the girls dresses) to make a hole into the ground.
Now you may think nothing of this…but these are my sewing scissors!!!
I don't even use these on paper!!
Ashley must know how much I love her to have done this!!
You can see a bit of my hair here.
I had long loose curls and some of my hair was pinned lightly in the back.
Before the other girls were done at the hair salon, my curls had all fallen.
The hairstylist re-curled my hair and added another bottle of hairspray to it.
But as you can see from this photo, it fell again, lol.
I wasn't going to have my hair pinned back, but good thing I did, at least it looked like I had done Something to it, lol.
Oh well, it wasn't about me that day anyway :)
Tomorrow…..the wedding dress :)

Getting Ready…Hair & Makeup
Look at these beautiful girls.
They are all so sweet.
I will introduce them from the left to the right :)
This first beautiful girl is my middle daughter Heather.
The lady next to Heather is Lia. Lia is Ashley's maid of honour and has known her since primary school.
Then is the Stunning Bride to Be, Ashley, the star of the day.
Next to Ashley is Lisa, they have known each other since collage and love to do photography together.
Then is my youngest beautiful daughter Kristy.
And last but definitely not least is Janus. Ashley and Janus became quick friends at work.
I can not say enough about these beautiful ladies, they helped make the wedding what it was.
It is all about the locks…and look at them!!!
Ashley has the most luscious thick hair that I have ever seen…sadly, she didn't inherit that from me.
I just love how her hair looks and couldn't take enough photos of it.
Isn't this loose braid across her hair just so fun.
Now look at how long her hair is…and this is with curl!!
Ashley was pretty open to what she wanted done with the girl's hair…all she asked was for then all to have some type of braid.
Here is the back of Janus's hair.
She didn't realize until the day before, that she was to pick a style that she liked…I think she picked a really pretty hairstyle.
This is the one that Lia choose.
These are the only 2 with an updo, the rest of the girls, including myself and Karen (the groom's mom) all had our hair down.
We went to "Karma" to get our hair done.
These lovely ladies are the ones who worked their magic on us.
The salon was closed just for the wedding party…..how special was that!!!
Now time for makeup :)
Karma opened their salon, not only to us, but to the make up artist as well….It was so nice to get everything done in one place and not feel rushed.
Heather not only did her own hair, she also did Kristys.
Heather never..and I mean NEVER wears make up.
She was pretty nervous about getting hers done.
I just told her to tell the make up artist that you don't wear make up and to keep it light…..I think Heather was pretty happy with the results :)
Kristy doesn't have her braid done yet, but make up is complete.
Considering these girls are gorgeous on their own, the make up artist did great to enhance their beauty.
Look at my babies, so beautiful.
Maid of Honour's completed look.
So pretty!!!
Janus, Heather and Kristy.
Ohhh to be young again and have perfect skin.
Lisa is flawless.
And Ashley's completed look.
Such a gorgeous girl.
Yes I may be bias, teehee.
And here is the make up artist at work.
"Emily" did an amazing job with the make up.
No pictures of me as I was the one with the camera.
Lisa brought her big boy camera, so there are plenty of pictures, but I am sure she will be editing them soon…I don't know how to edit, so you get what you see, lol.
I hope you all had a very creative day today :)

Let the decorating begin…….
I know you all have been waiting very patiently for me to post some wedding photos, so here you go!!
Lets start with the day before the wedding with the decorating..shall we ;)
Ashley made all of the chalk board art.
Not only did she cut the wood and paint it with chalk board paint, but she also did all of the art work.
I love the "Mr & Mrs" sign at the head table :)
Those old milk jugs were actually red and in my yard for my yard decoration, until we needed them for a different project (besides this one). So they were painted white….I can paint them red again if I wish, don't you just love paint ;)
Next was the Cookie Bar table…which was a big hit.
The bridesmaids and the bride, made all of the cookies.
What you don't see is the cases of cookies hidden under the table.
The centrepiece for each table were made by me :)
I will get more into detail about all of the projects in later posts as this is going to be a long one as it is.
I love the decor.
The venue was at Chippewa park and the building was all wood planks and big wooden beams.
With the the touch of white and pink….I called it "Rustic Pretty".
Because the head table had to be situated by the windows, we had to come up with something to cover the windows for photography purposes (Ashley is all about photography) but still let in some light.
So the bridesmaids and Ashley dyed streamers so they gave an Ombre effect, and then twisted them for texture.
A last minute project.
Remember those chandeliers I worked on last week ( or was it the week before)?
Well here are the end results.
Told you they would look much better once they were fully decorated :)
The lights were a bit of work.
Not only trying to figure which lights to get, but also putting them up.
Mike and Tyler put them up with the help of 3 women telling them what to do, lol.
And yes, we measured to make sure they were all the same distance apart and that the loops were the same distance from the floor ;)
Ashley actually purchased all of the lights just before the wedding. To rent them was going to be close to the same price as purchasing them online!
The favours were packets with seeds in them.
Ashley had this beautiful wood bucket in her decor at home….great ways to save money on decor, use what you have :)
Here is the bridal party all smiles as the decorating is complete :)
Lastly some more chalk art :)
The day started at 8:00am at Ashley house to pack up our vehicles with drinks and decor and heading to the venue to decorate.
It took us about 7 hours to complete, but boy did it look magical.
Then we had to head back later on for the rehearsal :)
I hope you all had a very creative day.
I will be, as I am heading to Mink Mountain with my friend Debbie for our yearly crafting time.
Hopefully I will be able to stay awake for it all…..but I did bring plenty of pop to keep me going, teehee.

Ashley's Wedding Day is Here!!!!
Its the Big Day
Today is the day that my oldest daughter Ashley is getting married!!!!
This is her wedding cake that she made herself.
It is a 4 layered chocolate cake with cream cheese icing…yumm.
I will be away from blogging for a bit….or maybe not, lol.

Love Hanger
A little surprise gift for Ashley :)
I had seen hangers like this on-line and at Michael's.
But I am to thrifty to pay the price that they are charging.
So what is a crafty person (with no time on their hands) to do…..but make one of course.
So I grabbed a hanger out of my closet (Wayne doesn't need the jacket that was hung from it ;) )
I then pried the wood bar off.
It was quite easy, as it was just held on with a very tiny nail.
I did pick up this thicker wire from the dollar store.
I then shaped the word "Love" out of the wire.
A little trick…I added thin wire (I took the wire from a tiny flower bunch, you could also take apart a twist tie and use that wire) and wrapped it around the bottom of the "L" and the top of the "O".
The reason is, I wanted them to touch so there wouldn't be a gap where these letters touched.
Lastly I used a nail to hammer in a tiny hole for the wired ends to be inserted.
I then added a tad of glue and there you have it…a hanger for her wedding dress.
I think this will look pretty for the photos :)
I hope you all had a very creative day.
I will be up bright and early to help decorate the venue.
Luckily they got it a day early to decorate….this will (hopefully) lessen the stress for Friday!!!!

Tulle and cookies
I think we will be working on wedding projects until the last minute, lol.
I or Ashley just keep adding to the list, lol.
One downfall of being creative, we just can't turn our minds off ;)
Can you guess what I worked on today?
I or Ashley just keep adding to the list, lol.
One downfall of being creative, we just can't turn our minds off ;)
Can you guess what I worked on today?
Ashley had said she was unsure if she wanted a veil.
I had the tulle and ….well, you know how that works, teehee.
We just need to find some lace for me to sew onto the edges and we are done project No. 500, lol
Ashley and Tyler want a Cookie Bar for dessert.
I thought this was a fun idea!!!
So Ashley and the bridesmaids are all making cookies.
I think Ashley went way over her quota, lol.
They were all planning on making 100 cookies each.
Ashley had made well over 200 on her own.
But I am sure they will all get eaten….even if not all at the wedding ;)
I made another project today.
But I will save it for another post.
Are you tired of wedding posts yet ?
I hope you all had a very creative day :)

Pies and Ties
My family teases me that I hoard my blueberries
So I had to prove them wrong, by making a blueberry pie :)
Nothing like a blueberry pie with fresh picked berries :)
I spent a lot of time at Ashley's house, making a big project for the wedding.
I had to go out, but when I came back to Ashley's I couldn't find Oscar, her dog.
Turned out Oscar was sleeping under the bed against the wall.
Isn't he a cutie….he is tuckered out here after playing outside :)
I wanted either Wayne's shirt or tie to match my dress.
He wanted the shirt to match, but they didn't have one in his size.
So we had to settle for a tie and pocket hankie.
He liked the tie, until I told him that I like the little flowers pattern.
After seeing that they were flowers he didn't want it anymore, lol.
So I told him that we need to go to the mall to look for a plain one.
For some reason, he changed his mind on the tie, lol.
MEN.
More wedding projects for me to work on tomorrow :)
I hope you all had a very creative Day :)
