The more I see them, the more I like them.
I just find it hard for me to do.
Plus I don't really like how mine turn out when I do them.
I was browsing the web and came across this blog, Sprinkled with Glitter. I really liked the card she made with her washi tape.
So I wanted a go of it.
They came together pretty quick. I made both of these cards in about an hour....which for me was really quick ;)
I used a script background stamp. My stamp wasn't big enough for the card so I had to piece it together...not liking it, as it didn't match up perfectly.
I then took a white piece of card stock and adhered strips of washi tape side by side.
Stamped my sentiment with Staz-On ink. Staz-On ink is a must as the washi tape has a slick surface and any other ink will smear or wipe off.
Lastly I added some twine and popped it up with pop dots.
For the inside of my cards, I used my index cards, but adhered them to the card with washi tape.

ReplyDeleteI usually lean towards clean and simple cards and am trying to add more vavoom to my cards.
I have washi tape and have never used it, I will now, great cards :)

ReplyDeleteThese are so fun and I love the simple look! I know what you mean about simple. Sometimes I make a simple card and I think it just looks plain. It's hard for me to tell the difference with my own work.
