Crocheting and Zombies

Crocheting a baby blanket while watching The Walking Dead...isn't that what all grandma to-be's do ;)

If you remember from this post "Oops"...I took apart the error on my baby afghan and fixed it.
It took 2 minutes to rip apart the 1 hour of crocheting I had done.

But I am happy to announce that I have completed the baby afghan!!
Now Ashley is allowed to have her baby, teehee.
I changed up the scalloped edge from the pattern.
I actually like my version better and I think it was easier and quicker to do as well :)

I also completed watching season 2 of The Walking Dead.
It was 9.63 hours of pure enjoyment :)
Mind you I didn't get in many steps today, but I did complete the afghan, so I feel a bit accomplished.
Tomorrow is season 3!!

I hope you all have a very creative day.
I did :)

Kaitlyn's Baby Boy card

Today my daughter's and I attended a baby shower for my girlfriend's daughter's baby shower.
We were having a hard time grasping that our daughter's are getting married and having babies...we are too young for this...at least we think so, lol.
It seems like not to long ago our daughters were having sleepovers and playing together.

I of course had to make a card.
Being that I am trying my hand at more challenges, I decided to check out some card challenges and came across this simple sketch from MFT.
The card sketch challenge is "MFTWSC270"
Such a simple card, yet cute :)
I added the little punched out baby feet to the inside of the card as confetti :)

I simply stamped the toy elephant on the inside and wrote my note on an index card (which I always do).

Besides the gifts that my daughter's and I bought for the new baby boy, I also crochet this afghan for him.
Started this on Tuesday and completed it Friday afternoon :)
I have enough wool for a second one.
I just love this colour combination!
Here is where I found the "pattern for this afghan".

I hope you all have a creative weekend :)

Oh yes, my little brother and his wife had a baby boy.
Tristen is his name, he was 3 weeks early and weighed 10 lbs....yes you read that correctly!!!
So happy for them and can't wait to see the little one...not sure when that will be though :(

Getting my wool on.

I do many different types of crafts.
For the past, many years, it has been mostly paper crafting.
I just felt like I wanted to change it up, so I decided to make a baby afghan.
I just love this colour combination.

So many new babies are going to be born...and the 3 that I know of are all going to be boys.
Actually my younger brother and his wife are having their baby today...haven't heard back from them yet.
It is taking all of my strength not to contact them....they live in a different province than I do.
So I just have to be patient.

When you knit or crochet, do you pull the yarn out of the middle of the ball?
Do you re-string it, or just work it from the outside of the ball?
As you can see, I pull it out from the middle of the ball.

Here is where I found the pattern for this adorable pattern "The Stitchin' Mommy"

I hope you all have a creative day :)
