Walking Dead Season 7 Finale

All I can say without giving anything away....I didn't trust those dirty buggers, lol.

Tonights episode was pretty great.
I have watched the Walking Dead from day 1.
My daughters have read the comics long ago, but I haven't...yet.
This season isn't as exciting for me and for many others, who watch it.
I have to say I still love it....but besides the tears I shed in the first episode of this season, and the surprise of Sasha in this episode, the rest in between have been good, but not Great.

Let me explain.
I look forward to Sunday's purely for this show.
I  prepare for it, by watching last weeks episode, then watch the new episode after that we watch The Talking Dead.
Then my family all go to bed and I stay up and watch the new episode again.
This season I have only stayed up to re-watch it a few times.

Don't get me wrong, we still love this show.
We love it so much that We even have a marathon of this show (all seasons) at least once a year.

If you watch the Walking Dead...what is your opinion on this season?

Projects from Day 2 at Crop & Create

This is the project I worked on ALL day and ALL evening at the Crop & Create event on the Saturday.
My friend Lynne and I both worked on it as we purchased the kit at this same event last year.

I took a few pictures of the inside of the mini album.
There are so many fun flips in this book :)

If you are not familiar with the papers and embellishments, they are from Heidi Swapp.
Such pretty papers and I love the acetate butterflies.

I think Lynne may have got a bit frustrated with me, as she was following not only the instructions, but my pages.
And with almost everything I create, I don't follow the instructions, lol.

Onto My Day:
I am still enjoying my Walking Dead marathon, so today was Season 3!!!

Yesterday while watching my show, I worked and completed my grandson to-be's crochet baby afghan.

Today I thought I would bring up my scrapbooking supplies and a kit to work on.
I didn't get anywhere with it...besides seperate the papers and embellishments.

You see, a friend took the class for this kit and she wasn't really feeling it, plus she was more interested with making the cards and they didn't get to that in the class....so she gave me the kit.
I couldn't believe that she did that <3 p="">But because she had completed 2 pages and only needed the embellishments on next 2 pages, I have been having trouble working on it.
When I get a kit, I usually switch up somethings and I get more pages than the kit is expected to make, I also add some of my own supplies.
So because I wasn't able to scrimp on the papers, I am having to rethink some things ;)
It will get done though....maybe tomorrow while I watch Season 4 ;)

I hope you all have a very creative day :)

Crocheting and Zombies

Crocheting a baby blanket while watching The Walking Dead...isn't that what all grandma to-be's do ;)

If you remember from this post "Oops"...I took apart the error on my baby afghan and fixed it.
It took 2 minutes to rip apart the 1 hour of crocheting I had done.

But I am happy to announce that I have completed the baby afghan!!
Now Ashley is allowed to have her baby, teehee.
I changed up the scalloped edge from the pattern.
I actually like my version better and I think it was easier and quicker to do as well :)

I also completed watching season 2 of The Walking Dead.
It was 9.63 hours of pure enjoyment :)
Mind you I didn't get in many steps today, but I did complete the afghan, so I feel a bit accomplished.
Tomorrow is season 3!!

I hope you all have a very creative day.
I did :)

Crop & Create 2016 - Day 1

I have to say the Crop & Create event put on by Scrapbook & Cards Today was an awesome event!!!
We always have a blast.
This year I brought kits.
I wanted my packing to be easier, and this way, I wouldn't have to bring 1/2 the stuff I own, lol.
Friday the crop started at 3:00 and lasted until midnight, so I brought a card kit I purchased from Pine City Scrapbooking.
Aren't these cards so cute :)

I also brought my Copic markers to colour in the images that needed to be coloured.
I brought my Copics home at the end of the night, so Sunday at the end of the crop, I would have less to pack up...at least I hoped that this would be the case.

Here are the last 2 cards from the kit.
Isn't that baby card so cute...and that silhouette card is gorgeous.

I did a lot of visiting (as I usually do) but didn't shop the first day...I know hard to believe right ;)
Don't fear though....this was just the first day of the crop.

I took a wee nap on the couch today as there were some late nights.
But have decided to have a Walking Dead marathon until the new season starts this Sunday.
Today is Season 1.

I hope you all have a very creative day :)

Walking Dead….all day LONG :)

I am both excited and sad that the day is here.
Tonight is a 90 minute episode of the Walking Dead!!!!
How awesome is that!!!!

But I am also sad, as it is the last episode of the season :(
So today Wayne and I are eating plenty of junk food (Monday is the start of a new healthy eating day, lol) and watching the past episodes of the Walking Dead until the new episode starts.

We aren't obsessed….obsessed would be if we started all of the seasons from season 1.
We don't do that until the new season, teehee.

I hope you all had a very creative day :)
I am editing a few videos during the commercials and walking around the house to get some steps in…got to walk off some of those junk food calories ;)

Happy Valentine's Day

Today is Valentines day, but Wayne and I are more excited about the new episode of the Walking Dead!!!
With that in mind, here is the Valentines Day card I made my honey ;)

Wayne surprised me this morning with some flowers and chocolate.
He isn't big on flowers...jewellery, yes, flowers not so much.
I was pretty surprised when I saw him come in with flowers today.
He told me, I figured it has been about 28 years since I last gave you flowers, I thought it was due time, lol.
Actually the first time he had given me flowers was when he proposed and the ring was in one of the roses.
He has got me flowers a couple of times in our 33 yrs together, but today's flowers surprised me more then when he proposed to me, lol.

I hope you all have a wonderful and creative Valentines Day :)
We are having a Walking Dead marathon before the new episode starts....perfect day!!

Dead Inside…Do Not Open

I have to share this project I did for our Halloween display from yesterday.
You know I love my horror movies and I love my Walking Dead…this is suppose to represent the cafeteria door, in the hospital, of the 1st season of the Walking Dead!!

Here is how I did it.
Ashley had used this pallet for planting some succulents.

You can check out the link to that in this here post Ashley's pallet garden
When she moved out…she left this behind.

It wasn't as lush as it was when we first did this, so I decided to use this pallet for my project.
First step was digging out all of the soil…which wasn't the easiest as I had to dig in-between those wood planks.
I then took the landscape fabric off of the back and used the back of the pallet for my door.

I picked up this plastic chain and pad lock from the dollar store, along with the zombie hands, bwhaahaahaa.
I picked up some inexpensive handles from a local hardware store.
I painted the warning, on with black paint.
It was raining all day, and the paint ran…so I moved it under the eves.
You can faintly see the letters.
I then washed all of the words off and tried again with black gesso.

This is a photo of the actual door from the show.

Her is mine :)
I even added some nail polish on some of the hands, teehee.

We only received 33 Trick or Treaters.
So we have a few treats left over…well actually we even have less, as we have been enjoying them today ;)

Onto My Day:
I put away all of my outdoor Halloween display.
My work shed was in such disarray, that I ended up organizing it while waiting for some of the Halloween things to dry, as it rained all day and night yesterday.
I never got to create today.
But I did make some organizing lists, so I can start my organizing :)

Gearing up for the Walking Dead soon!!!!!

Hope you all had a very Creative Day :)

Home Safe.

We made it home safe and sound….now to put away my shopping goodies.
But like the true procrastinator that I am, I will do that tomorrow, lol.
But for good reason…..Sunday night is The Walking Dead night :)

On our way out of Duluth, Wayne wanted to pick up some Dunkin Donuts, as we had never tried them before.
I also grabbed a hot chocolate.
I have to say, I wasn't impressed.
For one thing I had to wait for all of the other breakfast orders to go out before I got my hot chocolate.
I could understand if I ordered something they had to prepare, as first come first served…but the hot chocolate comes out of a machine…simple…..but I had to wait for 5 other people to get their breakfast orders.
And to top it off, the hot chocolate wasn't even good…I only took a few sips and threw it out.
I have to say, it gives me a better appreciation of our Robin's Donuts and Tim Hortons :)

I am off to watch my show as well as last weeks and the week before first, teehee.

I hope you all have a very Creative Day :)

Zombie Cat.

You all know what I will be doing tonight, teehee.

Yes friends, I will not talk to you or text you during this hour…..but call me later and we can discuss the show ;)

Oh look a zombie kitty trying to get in our window, lol.

Kristy was washing her bedding, and when my girls wash their bedding they keep the door closed as they don't want Luna on the bed.
Our Luna is an open door type of cat.
What I mean by that, is if a door is closed, that is the room she wants to be in.
Kristy had forgot her door open during dinner, so Luna snuck in.
I see she tried to hide behind the blinds….not only is she obviously visible by her shadow, but her tail is hanging below the blind as well, lol.

I hope you all have a creative day today….I did :)

Blogger Out of Order, due to Zombies

This blogger has given herself up to the Walking Dead tonight ;)

I have been so excited for tonight…..I can hardly contain myself.
Tonight is the new season of The Walking Dead!!!!
I have been watching the marathon (I can probably recite this show word for word, lol) the last few days and can't wait to see the new episode tonight.
Every Sunday night I watch the new episode, then I watch the Talking Dead, then I re-watch the episode I had just watched…once or sometimes even twice.

Some (like my daughters) may think I'm obsessed….others just get me ;)

I hope you all had a very creative day today :)

Blogger busy with Zombies

I have been excited about this new series as soon as I heard about it!!!!

And tonight is finally the night.
I am so looking forward to watching this.
So we prepped for the evening by watching "Dawn of the Dead" the original and the remake.
As well as making a 7 layer taco dip and drinking a couple cans of Coke, teehee.

I hope you all had a great creative weekend :)

The Walking Dead season #5 premier

Sorry but my blog is temporary unavailable due to the season #5 premier of
THE WALKING DEAD

I saved my weekly can of Coke for tonight…that and a few munchies ;)
Our family is a bit obsessed with this show.
So who of you will be watching along with me tonight?

I hope you all had a Creative Sunday :)
I cleaned my fridge to make room for our Thanksgiving dinner leftovers for tomorrow :)

Trick or Treat Banner

I finished the "Trick or Treat" banner I was working on yesterday :)
I love the colours and how fun it is :)

It was from a kit I had purchased at Hobby Lobby when I was in the States.
One thing with working from a kit…Nothing is perfect…or to my standards, lol.
But in the end, it looks great.

I hate to admit this but Heather had to help me with this part.
I have made my own rosette flowers or accordion medallions for years, so when I had to make these ones they confused me.
The strip of paper they supplied was already scored…and not perfectly I might add ;)
But when I fanned it out, it only was 1/2 a rosette?!
So I thought I would cut the paper in half lengthwise and attach them to make the strip longer, then it would make a full circle.
Then Heather came and read the instructions and explained it better.
I had to accordion fold it, pinch the middle (so it looks like a bow tie) then adhere the top edges together and then the bottom 2 edges together.
See a circle :)

After that is complete, then add adhesive (I used my hot glue gun) and adhere the folds in the centre.
I have never made one like this before….see old dogs can learn new tricks ;)

I am really happy with how it turned out.
Now I just have to figure out where to display it ;)
Ashley was also working on a banner today.
She actually hand cut all of her letters out and then came by to use some of my pattern paper to make the base of her banner.
I will share hers on another post as it deserves a post all of its own ;)

Today is Season #3 of the Walking Dead for us.
And here is my attire for today's Season ;)
I think I have run out of Walking Dead shirts now.
We plan on watching Season #4 this week. A little bit each day, until the new Season starts soon.

I hope you all had a very Creative Sunday :)

A Cup Cake card

Did you know today was World Card Making Day?
I didn't.
Until I went on Facebook and Jennifer from Just Jingle posted it.

Funny thing was I was working on a project…but it wasn't a card, it was a banner.
But I thought to myself, what kind of crafter would I be Not to post a card on my blog on World Card Making Day ;)
So off I went to make a card…..actually I didn't go anywhere as my honey and I are on a Walking Dead marathon kick…so I crafted it in the living room ;)

I used this Penny Black image that I had coloured when Sharon and I went away on our little crafty shopping getaway.
As you can see the paper I used wasn't really meant for Copic markers.
The face colours didn't blend very well, but it is still usable ;)

Sharon had bought me these cupcake brads for my Birthday this year and I wanted to use them on this card.
I thought they would go perfectly with this image and the cupcake paper.
I had first added the strip with the cupcake brads on the left side of the card, but thought it still looked plain.
I then added 3 banners and the cupcake brad, the banner cluster looked a bit weak, so I just kept adding banners and actually like how it looks :)

Here is the inside of the card.
Look, I even used my new stamp that I bought on our creative shopping getaway…Look at me go, using my new supplies!!!

It is day 2 of our Walking Dead marathon.
We have completed Season 2 today:)

Todays outfit consisted of this awesome t-shirt with Daryl Dixon on it and a pair of red and black plaid jammy bottoms.
I got it keep it stylin' you know ;)

I hope you all had a very Creative Saturday :)
I sure did.

Home for a Marathon…a Walking Dead marathon ;)

We made it home safe and sound.
It rained almost the whole 7.5 hour drive home…not my favourite weather to drive in, but we still made good time (with a few pit stops) and the traffic was good.

Wayne and I planned on having a marathon of the Walking Dead from Season 1, when I got home from our trip.
Well he wasn't even home when I got here, he worked until 7:00pm.
That may have been a good thing as I took a long nap before then ;)
Here is my attire in honour of The Walking Dead marathon tonight…this and some comfy jammy pants ;)

Now onto some shopping :)
I didn't do to much damage, but then again my damage was done last week ;)
I met up with one of my scrapping friends who moved to Winnipeg this year.
Barb and I met for lunch at the mall and then walked over to Scrapbooker Cottage :)

Like I said, I didn't do too much damage ;)

Before the concert Kristy and I checked out another scrapbooking store called Scrapbookers Anonymous.
Can you tell I love anything to do with cameras ;)
I also bought a set of the mini distress inks.
When I had first heard of these, I thought "why would I get these as I have the regular sized ones".
Which honestly I still feel that way.
But, I use vintage photo, and walnut stain a lot and these might be good to take to a crop.

Also at this store I noticed these tiny signs (which are actually little frames).
I told the sales lady that I need to remember this myself. So she put one in my bag :)
Love this and need to keep it displayed in my craft room.

Kristy and I loved this lunch box.
I know if my girls were still in school, they would have loved to take their lunch to school in this…no matter what their age ;)

I am off to enjoy my marathon :)
And this one doesn't take any physical energy, teehee.

Hope you all had a very Creative Friday :)

Tracy :)
