These pictures are of the flowers that we planted last weekend. They are so pretty. I love that Kristy got the water droplets on these flowers.
My day was pretty same ol' same ol'.
I took Kristy to the doctor about her wrist. We went to the doctor on call. No sooner did we sit down and they called her name.
The doctor figures that she has a bad sprain. It could take up to 3 or 4 weeks to feel better. Kristy did have to go for x-rays just to make sure nothing was broken.
As we were waiting for her to get called for the x-rays, we had a longer wait. I actually got to crochet another butterfly. I saw my aunt Carol and uncle Bill there. They are not really my aunt and uncle but they were the closest to relatives that we had here. So I got to catch up with them.
On the way out of the clinic, I ran into my girlfriend Shirley. Actually she is more like a sister to me. Her father and mine both did a lot of work out of town. Her parents were divorced so she lived with us while her father was away. I loved it. It was like having your best friend living with you.
Funny thing is, the last time I saw her was at the clinic a month ago. Teehee. You know your getting old when your social life consists of seeing your friends and family when you visit your doctor LOL.
I went and picked up my dad some groceries. I also brought him 2 fans as his were starting to get hot if he ran them for to long.
The girls went with me. He loves to see them. Even if they do end up teasing each other. My dad is always trying to give the girls money for helping bring up his groceries. My girls always refuse the money. He jokingly threatens them that if they don't take it he'll get after them. Then they tease him by saying, You'll have to catch me, then you'll at least get in some exercise. LOL.
The girls hair straightener died on them last night. This is the 3rd CHI straightener that we have had. Hubby took it apart. I guess it gets so hot that eventually the on/off switch melts inside. This happened to our last one as well. So we went to Chatters and bought a different brand. At least this one has a 5 yr warranty not a 1 yr like the CHI. These things are pricey.
I use it also. My hair looks so bad if I don't straighten it. It is all fuzzy and kinky. Not a pretty sight LOL.
I phoned my girlfriend Debbie tonight. I haven't talked to her in a long while. We used to get together every Tuesday and just go to the mall or go for hot chocolate for me, tea for her. But she has been swamped with work and life just seemed to get in the way. Sad as this shouldn't happen, but it does.
Every year Debbie and I go away. We have gone to Winnipeg a few times, Duluth more than a few times, one year we went to see her sister in Edmonton. But the last 3 years we have rented a cabin or suite and scrapbook for 3 days straight. The first two years we went here http://www.bluefinbay.com/ and stayed in the studio condo. It is only about a 3 hour drive over the border to the States. Last year we stayed here

No matter where we go our main concern is if the kitchen table is big enough for our scrapbooking supplies teehee. I live for this time with her. No matter how much or little I see of my friend Debbie, its like we were never apart. We can talk for hours and vent about everything.
Well that is about all of my day today. I did get 2 loads of laundry washed and hung up on the line. It turned out to be a beautiful day.

Oh I just had to share with you the funky light that was in her room. I say "was" as she doesn't want it back up. Funny thing is when hubby and I bought our 1st home. This was like the light fixture that they had in the 
Almost every year a robin makes a nest under this boat. I am not sure the last time this boat was used. For one thing we wouldn't disrupt this nest, and for another hubby has a different boat. If you look very closely above this nest you can see another nest under the boat seat. See the grass peeking out. What is this a bird 
This robin is my kind of bird. Look how she has lined all her eggs in a neat row. You think she is a tad anal about everything being organized 
Hubby and I made this sign 3 years ago when we bought this camp. I cut the wood, he picked out the letters, and I painted the letters and designed the flowers on it and painted them. We also cut the plaques and I painted the family's names on the 
As you can see the excitement of painting her room wore off. She snuck away to read.
Oh ya here is something else they do to entertain themselves. Paint their toe nails with trim paint 
So that is what I did all Saturday. Paint, paint and more paint. Oh ya later at night I did lay down and read some of my Canadian 
Last but not least is my daughter Ashley. We were at my sister's place about 1 hour out of town. Ashley took her son's kiddie quad for a ride. Those quads are so small, I didn't think that they went very fast. Well as she was riding it, she went out of our view and flipped it onto herself. She was actually lucky that she just broke her arm/wrist. It wasn't till the doctors finally set it that the specialist told me that the break was so bad they didn't think that they would be able to set it. They thought that they would have had to operate and put pins in it.
When hubby was a teenager he broke his femur. He drove his motor/dirt bike off a cliff in one of his dad's pits. He needed to get a steel rod put in his leg.
