I made a card today!!!
I really enjoyed the process. Plus I really like how it turned out.
I am planning on entering this in Card Cupids Challenge. I am also going to donate this card to them. The Challenge was simple, "Green".
When I coloured this image, I was thinking of stamping something related to St. Patrick's Day on the banner. But I don't celebrate St. Patrick's Day, nor send out cards for it. But I did give her reddish/brown hair, a little Irish girl :) Does that count?
So here is my card.
You have seen this coloured image before, as it is the one I did for the first time I had ever used the Stamp' Up markers.
If you also remember my stamped image had a flaw, so I cut the image out, thus cutting out the flaw :) I used the Tim Holtz die with his stamp set.
I used the Martha Stewart punch for the scallop flowers. I punched two different coloured papers then off set them when I layered them. I punched the flowers out and then shaped them, then added some sparkle in the center. I cut up the sparkle flourish. I wanted to add more dimensional flowers, but because this has to be malled away, I wanted them to be more flat and easier to mail.
I popped up the coloured image. I love these stamps they are so adorable.
As Becky likes to put it, I will show you my underwear shot, lol. For the inside of my card, I used recipe cards (like I usually do) to write the sentiment on. Because I am going to donate this to Cards Cupids, I still have to figure out what to write inside here. Any suggestions?
Now onto my second favourite thing....eating, lol.
When Ashley came home for lunch she made me her awesome salad. Yummy.
Thankful Thursday:
1. I went to my Pilates class. It was only me and another lady tonight.
2. That I made a card that I really like.
3. That I get to spend time with my girls whenever I want to.
4. That I have some really special and nice friends here on my blog.
5. That Hubby and I can enjoy a movie, tonight its Medicine Man :)
What are you Thankful for today?
Tracy

ReplyDeleteVery pretty card! That Card Cupid thing is so neat. I've been thinking about this one little girl around here who was the victim of a horrible crime and thinking about how the only thing I would really know how to do for her would be to make a card. It's funny - I didn't realize there was anything like Card Cupid but it does make sense.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful that I'm almost done with all the work for my last class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And then I'll be able to make cards again! And maybe play guitar again and make my kids yummy food again! Yay!
Gorgeous card Tracy!! I love the inside and the idea of using recipe cards...so clever! I never really know what to say in cards either, so sorry-no help here! but that salad sure looks good, and I'm sure hungry, it's past my lunchtime!! ;)
