I woke up earlier than usual worried about her. Then we couldn't find her.
She sleeps with my daughter Heather every night.
It turns out she was under her bed.
Rose crawls out from under the bed and didn't limp at all. Its like nothing was ever wrong with her.
So happy she is fine :)
I made this banner today.
I was planning on making it a lot earlier, but I haven't kicked my procrastination habit yet ;)
I am a very committed person, really I am. I have been married to the same man for 24 yrs dated him for 4 yrs before that. But when it comes to picking papers I have trouble committing to my 1st few picks.I kept changing my mind.
I think picking papers is the hardest thing for me....maybe I have too much....Nah.
This is not how I am going to hang it. I needed to take a photo of it and, well....I love the wall colour in my scrap/craft room :)
Cut the letters with my cricut, the Storybook cartridge.
The accordion flower is made with cupcake wrappers.
The other flowers are hand made.
I stamped this with a $1.50 stamp from Michael's and made a ticket.
Inked around everything with Brick Red.
I thought I could keep this up longer then just for Valentines day as I made a ticket with the word "Family" on it.
What do you think?
I glimmer misted the ribbon that I used to tie the hearts together.
Another accordion flower made with cupcake wrappers.
Handmade flowers.
The middle larger flower was white and I used the glimmer mist to colour it up :)
The banner hearts are from the blank chipboard shaped album from Michael's $1.50 bin.
Close up of the sparkle heart on the flower :)
Love the dollar store ;)
Onto My Day:
Ran to the vet to pick up Rose's medicine. It is actually Omega 3. Chatted with the vet about our kitty.
Hubby and I went out for lunch.
We are not into the whole "show her that you care, buy her lots of expensive jewels" part of Valentines day. So we went for lunch. I like this as it isn't busy, and we like to eat, lol.
Chatted to my girlfriend Debbie tonight. We are going on a little creative getaway this weekend and had to plan our
So looking forward to this weekend, jammies all day long, except when we are in the hot tub :)
Hope you all had a creative Tuesday :)
Tracy :)
Your banner is very cute! I buy (stockpile) those Michael's chipboard albums too...I just never do anything with them!!!
ReplyDeleteOh well, I can live vicariously through you. I saw those cupcake wrapper flowers on pinterest and want to give them a go. I can see on yours, the bling is what really makes them!
Love your banner. Using cupcake wrappers to make flowers is such a great idea. Leigh
ReplyDeletePretty banner! Love how you made the flowers. Glad Rose is not limping, that's a good sign. Your upcoming weekend sounds awesome, hope you have lots of fun. Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteLike your banner a lot. Great idea to make flowers from cupcake wrappers.
ReplyDeleteGlad your kitty is better.
Greta banner! I keep thinking of making a few- so many cute ones out there! Like you, cannot commit to a paper, or worried that I won't be able to decide how to embellish, etc.....so silly!
ReplyDeleteWe are not big celebrators of Valentine's day either. Got a lovely card, valentine jelly bellies and Jeff wrote and recorded a song for me on garage band. No jewels, but this makes my heart sing! :0)
Junk food and jammies, and a hot tub? Where do I sign up for this getaway? ;p You ladies have a wonderful time together!

ReplyDeleteGlad your cat is okay and this banner is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteThat happened with our cat once! Glad she seems fine! Love your banner. Haven't used a lot of glimmer mist, and when I did I got little splotches, not the even looking mist you have there. Now granted, sometimes the splotches look great too ;-) How do you make an accordian flower out of the cupcake liner? Do you have to cut it and fold or do you just use the folds that are in the liner already??
