# Love You Layout

I don't post for months and then "Bam" a post every day for like a week, lol.

If you have read my posts from this week and last week, then you know that I attended a virtual Creative Gathering put on by The Scrapbook Cottage.
They had 7 sketches for cards and 7 sketches for scrapbook layouts (which I completed thank you very much, teehee)....But they also had classes!
Because they are located in Winnipeg and Steinbeck and I am from Ontario, I wasn't able to pick up the kits for these Class kits. Sharon would have mailed them out, but I was a bit late in hearing about this, and the kits wouldn't have got to me in time.

So what is a crafty girl to do....but make up her own kits with her supplies.
Sharon and Kathy shared what was in their kits, so I just tried my best to make them work.

I was only able to do 2 of the classes as this event was jammed packed!
I still have my makeshift kits put aside to work on these classes at a later date, as the classes are still up on their Facebook page .

Here is my take on Sharon's Class
What I loved about this one is the heart shape with the 2x2 papers.
Sharon used a cut apart paper, where I had this stack of 2x2's.
Another difference is that Sharon had a pattern paper for her background where I used white cardstock and added paint splatters.
And one last change I made was that she had cut her photos in 2x2 sizes and added them to the 2x2 squares.
This was a really fun take on a layout!

Then I did one of Kathy's classes.
I was shocked that Kathy coloured and cut all of the tiny images in her kits....not only that but there were 4 cards in each kit!
I found some cute images that were coloured and some I had to colour that night to put on my card.
Even though our images are different I used the same concept as Kathy for my cards.
I only got 1 out of the 4 cards completed.

I also did a video on these 2 projects.
I would love if you visited my YouTube channel and send me some love...If you have a channel, I will return the love right back to you ❤️

Thank you all so much for visiting me today
I hope you are all well, safe and are having a creative day.

Dawson's 2nd Birthday

It was my youngest grandson Dawson's 2nd Birthday this fall.
Isn't he just the cutest 2 yr old!!!
He is such a smart active little guy, who loves to copy everything his big brother does ❤️

We celebrated his birthday at the cottage this year. So I had to make a card with what I had there.
I had some paper and my photo printer.
I found this image on the internet (I think it was a car decal) I saved it and then printed 2 images up on my photo printer.
I then fussy cut out the face and hand of the HULK (who happens to be Dawson's favourite super hero).
I stamped these letters and then fussy cut them out as well.

I popped Hulk's face up on top of the back image.
Double popped up the Hulk's fist, so it looks more like he is coming out of the card.

One thing I really enjoy about crafting up at the cottage is having to use what I have.....it becomes a fun challenge!

I hope you all have a very creative day

Heathers Gorjuss Birthday Card 2020

Its me!!
Really its me!!
So much for my goal to blog once a week!
And here I used to blog everyday....what?!!?

Every year for my daughter Heather's birthday I make her a card with a Gorjuss girl on it.
She actually loved these images before I even knew about them.
After ordering some of the Gorjuss Girl stamps I noticed that she had an image on her computer screen. So every year since then I made her a card with one of these images.

This year I kind of cheated...
I usually colour my images on her card, but this year I ran out of time, so I photocopied my stamp package cover.
I felt like I slacked...but it still is a cute card, right?!
I just adore these images so so much.

I hope everyone is staying safe with this virus
I'm going to try and be a little more creative with most places being closed and having to stay at home.
I hope you all have a very creative day πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—

Another birthday card.

July is full of birthdays and so many fun opportunities to make Birthday cards!!
I made this one for my friend Debbie.
I have a few birthday cards on hand...but sometimes we need to make a special card for a special person.

I had this image that I had coloured earlier and I just love this image from MFT's Pure Innocence line...I think it is called  Happy Mail, I have used her a lot, she is just so darn cute and that bird on the mail box πŸ’—
I created this card up at our cottage, so I used the papers (Cut & Paste by MME) and supplies that I keep up here (which is quite a bit actually) to create this card.

I did bring this Stamping Up stamp set called "Happy Birthday, Everyone" especially for this card and then decided to leave it up here.
Can you believe this is the first time I have used this set!!
I think it was a Hostess set from when I hosted a SU party a couple of years ago.

Yes I really do make this much mess creating one card, teehee.
Here is my work area up at our cottage.
I am so so so overly excited that I have my own little room dedicated for my crafts in our new cottage.
Well it is for my crafts and there is a futon in here as well for guests.
My husband keeps teasing me when I say its my craft room...he says its the spare room or the guest room.....or even his fishing room.
But I have caught him more than once referring to it as my craft room....brain washing really does work, teehee.
I will share more on this area in another post.

But seriously, how can you beat this view.
I can open the window and chat with anyone on the deck.
And I can admire our little lake and listen to the loons while creating.
Now you all know why I love it here so much.

I hope you all have a very creative day today and enjoy your view.

Ashley’s 29th Birthday and her card.

Today is my oldest daughter Ashley’s 29th Birthday.
How can she be 29 !!!
Ashley loves ice-cream and even more so now that she is pregnant.
So I decided to make her an ice-cream cone birthday card.
I made it up here at our cottage, so brought up a bunch of circle punches.... I had these fun papers up at camp already.

Talk about her love of ice-cream, she chose an ice-cream cake for her birthday cake.

Here is the star of the day... my beautiful, loving and awesome mommy, my daughter Ashley.
This photo was taken last week, here at the cottage.
Such a beautiful mama.
Ashley is due September 10th... I’m so excited to hold my second grandson.

Here is the inside of the birthday card.

Hope you had a wonderful birthday and I am so lucky we got to spend the weekend together ❤️

Happy Day Card

I hoard my cards.
I still have cards I have made 5 yrs ago, and I still feel attached to them.

With that being said...I don't have any masculine cards.

My daughter's boyfriend was coming over and I couldn't find a suitable birthday card for him.
I had to quickly make a card.
I thought I had a balloon shaped punch...but nope, I didn't.
But I found this fun 6x6 birthday paper pack.

After cutting the pattern paper for my card front, I fussy cut some balloons out of the left over paper, inked them up, shaped them and then popped them up.

The "happy day!" also came from this paper pack.
I just backed it with a scrap of dark brown cardstock.
On the back of all of my cards I use this stamp.
I love hearts and the 3 hearts represent my love for my 3 daughters πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—.
I added the Iron Man (who I keep calling Tron) sticker on the back as Blake loves Marvel Super heroes.

This card was so super simple that I wasn't going to post it, but hey, not every card has to be a masterpiece, lol

Hope you all have a very Creative Day :)

Heather's 26th Birthday

Today is my daughter Heather's 26th birthday.
We celebrated her birthday with dinner out with the family.
Heather usually chooses sushi for dinner. We then all came back home for some cake.
She loves New York style strawberry cheese cake, as well as Strawberry custard cake. She can never decide which one she wants, so I get both :)

Heather loves the Gorguss Girl images.
She has loved them before they even had made them as stamps.
So every year I make her a card with one of these girls.
This is this years card :)

It seems like forever since I have coloured.
I pulled out my Copics and coloured this one up..I really need to do more colouring, I am a little rusty.

I like this little cluster I made.
I used a wood heart and coloured it up with my Copic, I also coloured up the birthday banner with a Copic marker...oh yes, and even the twine I coloured up.
Sure got some use out of my Copics this day :)

Here is the inside of the card, as well as the envelope.

Here are the colours that I used for colouring her up.

I decided to follow a sketch and picked this one from Freshly Made Sketches

Again, here is my finished card.
Kristy was questioning the paper choices I made as Heather is not a girly girl.
But once I had the whole card put together, I got Kristy's approval, teehee.

I hope you all have a very Creative Day :)

Got to Catch'em All

It was my son-in-laws birthday last weekend.
But because we were at camp and they weren't we couldn't celebrate it with them.
So last night I invited Ashley and Tyler over for birthday cake to celebrate his special day.

Like so many, my girls and him enjoy playing Pokemon Go...so I thought this was a fun card to make him :)
I had seen this on Pinterest a few times, so not sure who the original creator was.
I just used some of my punches and my Martha Steward circle cutter to cut the biggest circle.
I really was quite easy to make this just by looking at photos.

I went out on a limb and decided to stamp directly on the inside....not a good idea, lol.
The stamps are never mounted on the blocks straight....at least that is my excuse, lol.

So I stamped it on another piece of white cardstock and then mounted that one on red.
I also made this Pikachu with a variety of punches.
My girls giggled at my results, but I thought he was cute, so he stayed ;)

Not my usual type of card, as no colouring or pattern paper was used, but hey, we all have to try new things right :)

I hope you all have a very creative day today :)

Garden Girl Birthday Card

I made this card for a friend who loves to garden, and she has a beautiful yard to prove it.
It was her birthday last week, but we all celebrated it last night, with our usual dinner and a movie.

I used one of Val's Digital Design's images called "Kididdles Girl Summer".
I think she is so cute.
The summer bonnet did not come with this image, I fussy cut it from the papers I used.
I did a bit of fussy cutting on this card as there was a cut apart paper in this paper pack from Mary Engelbreit.
The flower pot by her feet were fussy cut and then popped up with a foam dimensional.

As well as the bird house and the "Friend" sentiment.

I also fussy cut the trelles, sentiment for the banner and the blossoms at the bottom.
For the base of my card, I used papers from "Paper Garden"
They sent me some of their card stock to try and I have to say, I really like them for card bases and embossing.
I really like the look of their shimmer paper and I found (with my last card) it embosses so nicely.

Here is the card closed up to be put in the envelope.

I followed this sketch by MFT, but.....again was to late in posting to my blog to enter the challenge.
I have such good intentions though ;)

I really like making these easel cards.
Not only are they fun, but I love how nicely they stand up to display them :)

Oh and look, I did a quick video :)

Card Share….Dark Souls 3

Look, even with all the organizing I have been working on in my craft room, I still had time to create.
Well actually I had to create….it was my daughter's boyfriend's birthday.
So I made him this card, inspired by him (at the time) favourite video game.
Dark Souls 3.

I have been busy today.
I was working on organizing my pocket cards.
Considering I don't do Project Life, I sure have a lot of pocket cards.

Here is a quick video I did where I share a couple of my cards :)

Heather's Birthday Card

I made a birthday card for my daughter's birthday today :)
When I told her I had to make her a card, she requested I use "one of the girls I like with the straight hair and stripped stockings"
So she picked out the image, and which colours I was to use, lol.
Here is a better photo of the coloured image as the photo above, seems kind of washed out.
I haven't coloured with my Copics in such a long time...and I can tell.
Here is the inside of the card :)
I should share a photo of my beautiful birthday girl :)
I find it so hard to believe she is 25 today...where has the time gone?!
This is a very rare photo of Heather as she Never wears make up.
But this was from her sister's wedding, so she let them doll her up.
One of my (many) goals this year is to join more challenges...which I am failing at by the way.
So before starting this card, I went looking for some sketch challenges and found this fun one from My Favourite Things :)
I hope you all have a very Creative Day :)

Happy Birthday Wayne :)

Just a quick post to wish my big guy...my loveable honey Wayne, a Happy 52nd Birthday :)
We have planned a week of fun adventures...just the two of us.
We even enjoyed dessert after supper :)

This is the quickest card I think I have ever made.
I had this image my friend Su had gifted to me on a tag.
I had to cut it down to fit the card and used black cardstock for the background.
Wayne loved the sentiment "A Perfect Gentleman" ;)

I hope you all have a very creative day today :)

Celebrate Birthday Card for a Friend

Here is a Birthday card I had made for a friend's Birthday :)
It had to be mailed away, I know she received it, so I can share it now :)
Isn't she cute.
This card was going to go a whole different way, but that is how it works sometimes ;)

I coloured this cute Prima image with my much loved Copic markers.
I coloured her all in browns as I was planning on doing a different background, but then changed my mind as I wanted to use this new balloon background paper.
Can you see I added some embossing paste around the image :)
I wanted it to look like confetti, I coloured the dots but then didn't really like how they turned out…so added white to cover them up again.
I did use some sequins to hopefully distract you from any left over colour that the white couldn't cover up.
You know, I think this is the very first time using sequins for me.

Remember those banners I picked up from Target last week… I used some on both the front and inside of this card.

With me colouring her dress in the browns, I needed the balloon background paper to be more antique looking, so I added distress ink to tone down the brightness of the paper.
If you look at the inside of the card, that is the actual colour of the balloon paper as I didn't add distress ink to the inside of the card.

Lookie here, I made a video on the making of this card.
I really should do process videos on my cards….but I usually don't have a plan before I start.
If you would rather watch my video on my YouTube channel for the full screen experience, just click on my name "Tracy's Treasures24"

I have to chuckle at my starting to enter challenges, as the last card I entered, I totally forgot to link my blog/card to the challenge blogs linky's , lol

I am entering this card in "Always Playing with Paper" challenge.
I know I had entered my last card in this same challenge, but I love this sketch. My card also fits their colour challenge as well :)

I hope you all had a very Creative Monday :)

Happy Birthday File Folder Card

This weekend it is my FIL's wife, Joy's birthday.
I wanted to make her a card, but not only ran out of time, I have quite a few cards I could have choose from ;)
So I combined the idea.
I made a card back in my "January Card Challenge" and the first go around didn't work with the image I wanted to use.
But I didn't want to trash the card as it was still good.
So I revamped it to work for Joy's birthday card :)
All I really did was add these butterflies to each end of the banners and stamped her name.

I have a few flowers left outside :)
We had frost this morning, so I better enjoy them while they last.
Wayne and I are off to the cottage to totally close down for the season :(
It is suppose to rain this Sunday, so that should be fun…mind you, I think it usually does rain when we close down.

Hope you all had a Creative Friday :)

Tracy :)
