Okay I have a confession to make.
I love washi tape.
I am a little late to the party on this one...but I made it, teehee.
This is one of my 3 containers of washi tape...my other two aren't full .....yet.
The other two containers hold my browns/blacks and I moved my oranges and yellows into the third container.
These containers are for embroidery floss. I think they are $3.00 or $4.00 each.
It is a bit of a tight fit to close them, but they work great to hold these tapes in.
I am actually thinking of moving them to a pull out drawer, but I like the easy portability of these containers.
But the real reason for this post is because I made a short...yup you got that right, a short video on how I cut my washi tape thin and straight :)
It is really easy and you are going to say...now, why didn't I think of that when you see it ;)
So here is my short 3:21 minute video on how I did just that :)
Onto My Day:
Enjoyed a nice walk this morning. It was beautiful outside again...snow is almost melted in the back yard :)
I met my friend Debbie out for supper and a bit of shopping.
We have a couple of creative plans for our girls getaway this summer :)
Yes, we like to plan ahead ;) We are planning on making a mini Smash journal. Neither one of us know what we are going to use it for.....but just the thought of making one is exciting.
Hope you all had a creative Tuesday :)
Tracy :)

Lover of Washi tape too. Why is it so darn expensive???? Yes, I am behaving and taking it easy. Most of my day is actually spent on the couch and I have been napping each afternoon.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely brilliant Tracy! TFS...
ReplyDeleteRotfl, I was happy because I have 6 rolls! ;0) that container looks so scrummy with those colours!
ReplyDeleteSo many colorful washi tapes. They are all so cute and pretty. Thanks for the video!
ReplyDeleteOh I love washi too!!
ReplyDeleteLoved the video, and thanks for sharing your washi storage. I've almost outgrown my old waxpaper box and am looking to move up, lol. Have a great Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteI love what you said about being excited to create a mini Smash journal. We should be excited about creating, especially when we are making something new to us. I'm trying to find my creative mojo, and this post helped a lot :).
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for cutting. I have a ton of washi that my sister sent me from Japan and I never use it. I'm so bad about doing that. Love to hear your cute Canuck accent. :)
ReplyDeletetotally brillant!!! love it!!
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas with cutting the tape. I love the storage idea. Just came across one of those boxes when I was cleaning up the other day and wondering what to do with it! Thanks.
ReplyDeletegreat idea. I've never cut mine. However, I have torn it and I like that effect too.
ReplyDeleteSome great colours of washi tape there! Something I still haven't used other than to decorate the end of my storage boxes! Although that might just be decorative tape - don't know :-) Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteSweet! Thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteI usually just try to cut real slow with my scissors, but of course not always that straight.
Love washi. I have a nice big ceramic bowl of it on my counter :)
Love how you used it in your planner!
I have purchased washi tape but haven't used it yet. Now I heard of clear washi tape...isnt' that just tape LOL. great video
ReplyDeleteFun idea. I hadn't tried this with washi! But I do the same thing with border stickers: I leave them on the backing and cut right down the middle with my trimmer.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, why didn't I think of that?! Thank you so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWell dang it, that is the smartest thing ever! I have seen the really wide rolls, but never the really thin ones. I love that I can cut them now! Thanks for the video!!
