Remember the other night when I went out for dinner with my friend Debbie.
Well, we not only went out for dinner, we also did a bit of shopping :)
First stop was Home Sense.
I found the Heidi Swapp word stickers and some flair stickers....is that what they are called? Nope just checked the package name, they are called badges. I also found some more washi tape :)
Then we ran to the dollar store and picked up these wooden birds and butterflies. I know they are a bit bright, yucky colour, but nothing that some paint or stain won't fix.
We both bought different shapes and were to divide them with each other. Oops we forgot...I have yours divided now Deb ;)
Everything I bought here was on sale for a few dollars each.
I found some more Washi tape...why am I so addicted to this stuff? I'm not really looking for an answer to tell you the truth, teehee.
I was thinking of making a book out of an old album I have had for quite a while.
It has 2 up page protectors as it is a photo album, and is a binder type album. I was thinking of making and adding some file tab dividers to it and pretty patterned paper. Only problem is the cover is a bit bent :(
Well looky here :)
Debbie and I had seen these when we went to Home Sense the first time. I was thinking of buying it then, but didn't.
Then when we were at Michaels looking at Smash books and mini Smash books, we started talking about the binders that we left behind. And remembered they were only $5.99 each. So we came to the decision (which wasn't hard to make) to go back and pick them up.
It must have been meant to be as there were only two on the shelf :)
Neither one of us know what we are going to use it for...but we have it for when we do, teehee.
What I really like about this book is that it has 12 divided page protectors and 5 tabbed dividers.
I can add my own pretty papers :)
I again have no idea what I am going to use this for, but love the idea that I can jam it full of bulky embellishments and not worry about them being squished or not being able to shut :)
If you have one of these binder/books I would love to know what you are using yours for?
I hope you all had a creative Thursday :)
Tracy :)

Oooo, great finds!
ReplyDeleteThose are superb finds. Here in South Africa, recently because of newly established trade ties with China, we have a whole bunch of these stores kind of like a dollar store but with crazy stuff from Asia cropping up. I went into one today and got a whole bunch of stuff like micro-beads and bling, and stamps and metal charms. It was brilliant. I loved your video on the altered carousel over on Youtube too. Hugs!
