Casino Friends

Still working on catching up.
I thought I had posted this as I made it a long while ago....but nope

Every year my friend Sharon and I go to Hinckley for a little getaway.
Sharon goes to gamble, and I go to craft and shop.
One day we travel to Crafts Direct to do some (lots) crafty shopping as well as to Pine City Scrapbooking...love those stores!!!

I am not sure how much I love this layout as I don't care for the green background I used.
I was thinking of actually cutting the green away and mounting the layout on a white piece of cardstock.
I added a pocked with more information on our trip and what we did.
But there are so many more layouts I want to do that it isn't a priority at the moment.
When I am all caught up on my layouts, hahahaha, I may go back and touch up my not so loved ones.

I made a video of this layout in more detail.
If you would like to watch it on my YouTube channel, just click the link "Tracy's Treasures24"

Thank you so much for visiting me :)
I hope you all have a very creative day

Quick Layout Share

You have all been asking me about all my kits and wanting to see what I have done with them.
Well here are some of the layouts I had done :)

I usually do 2 page spreads, but I have been expanding my horizon and been doing a few 1 page layouts.
I have been making quite a few 1 pages for Sawyers album.
Honestly my grandson's 1st year album will be completed well before any of my 3 daughters will, teehee.

I used the Sweater Weather 2016 Fall kit from Scrapbook & Cards Today, for these layouts.
"Fall Love"
I have to say I love this layout.
I really like the papers and all of the fussy cut flowers I had to trim up.
Of course the star of this page is Sawyer. 💗 (can you believe I just discovered I can add symbols to my text).

Now back to my 2 page layouts.
"In My Arms"
I picked out some photos of Sawyer and I for this one.
I may change the word Love to Safe..so the Title will read Safe in my Arms.
I used this same layout of this page, in "Autumn Family" page below.

Here is the second page to this layout.
I did purchase the blue plaid, it was not in the kit.

"Little Pumpkin"
I used a different sketch then was in this kit.
I really like how this one turned out!!!
Simple yes, but I love the large circle.
I may do my journaling on the lower left of this page.

Second page.
My photographer daughter Ashley (Sawyer's mommy) took these photos in these layouts.
The backdrop to these photos was a fall display my daughter Kristy and I did in our front yard.

"Autumn Family"
The photos from these layouts were of our family that came to our home for Thanksgiving dinner last month.
My sister and her children are in this photo (as well as my family) as they were the only ones able to make it for dinner.
But we all enjoyed being together and Ashley did a great photo shoot of us all.
This layout I used the same sketch as I used in the first page of "In My Arms"

This second page is of Wayne Sawyer and I and then Wayne and I with our 3 awesome daughters.

See I have been using what I have 😉.
I made a video with more detail of the kit, these layouts and a few other layouts that I haven't put photos on yet.
If you would like to watch the video on my YouTube page just click the link "Tracy's Treasures24"
If you go to my channel I would love a thumbs up and would love to read your comments :)

I have so much to share, but have been busy looking after Sawyer most days now that his mommy is back at work....but I love being able to spend so much time with this little cutie, even if I need to have a wee nap when he does, lol.

I hope you all have a very creative day :)

February layout from SCT planner sketch

Another layout!!!
Another layout where I used Scrapbook & Cards Today sketch from my planner.
It is the sketch from February.
If you had noticed all of my layouts from these sketches have been not only Christmas themed layouts, but they have all been on my grandson Sawyer ;)

I started a tradition with Sawyer, where I read him "Twas the Night Before Christmas" on Christmas Eve.
When my daughter's were young, we would read from this Christmas book all during the holiday season, then when they were old enough to read, they would read the stories to me.
So I love that I could continue this with my grandson :)

I knew I wanted to scrapbook this tradition, but when I found this paper with the whole story written on it from Graphic 45's "Christmas Past" collection...I just knew I needed to use this paper...how perfect!!!!
For the title I used my label maker with gold backing and backed it with papers from Recollections "Joyful Christmas" collection.

I love this little cluster I created in the corner.
I cut the tag with my Stampin' Up tag punch from the Recollections paper.
The doily was inked with Distress ink and the ornament piece was from a Christmas gift tag that I kept as I thought it was to pretty to get rid of ;)
If you look closely, you can see a bit of sparkly  thin thread. I purchased a whole collection of different colours from the dollar store before Christmas.

Here is the sketch provided by Scrapbook & Cards Today in my Creative Planner I purchased from them.
Just to show that being it was a sketch for February and was mainly a heart themed layout, I took it in a whole new way.
I used a square shape instead of the heart, and my cluster was in the opposite corner of the layout
Mind you I would love to do a heart layout as well ;)

I actually made my layout in December, before I even made the January layout.
But I wanted a double page layout for this one, and February's sketch fit perfectly for this page.
Here are both of the pages side by side...February and December's.
To see a closer look at December's layout check out This post

Because both of these have photos on the layouts...I can count them as complete...right Kristy?!

I hope you all have a very Creative Day :)

Scrapbook Layouts and a Walking Dead marathon

I was able to do some scrapbooking today!!!
That scrapbook kit that I pulled out everyday for the last few days...I finally was able to get some of my creative juices going to work on it.
See all of those pretty flowers...They were all fussy cut out...you know how much I LOVE to fussy cut, lol.
But it was well worth it because they look so pretty.
Actually I had no idea what I was going to do with this page until I started cutting out the flowers and dropping them on the 12x12 paper....as they were falling, I thought oh I like that...and that is how this page came about :)

This second page is actually close to the one they shared in the kit.
I changed it up by adding my own paper with the "Life" statement on it.
The "Family sparkle word on the above layout, is suppose to go on the strip of paper...but I didn't want to cover those words so I changed it.
Also the Polaroid cluster is suppose to be there the "Life" statement is, but I just moved it.
The kit came with 1- 12x12 piece of the polkadot foil paper.
So in order to have it on my second layout, I cut a piece from under the "Life" strip and where the photo blocks are..I should have took a photo of this layout from behind, lol.

I set up a TV tray up and worked on my layouts while watching my Walking Dead marathon :)

Okay, I am off for the rest of the evening.
Not accepting phone calls, texts, or checking out Facebook...why?
Walking Dead Season 7 starts soon!!!!
I am so pumped!!!

I hope you all had a very creative weekend :)

Happy is This Way

A layout of my girls :)

I made this layout when I was on my Creative Getaway with Debbie :)
This is the second page to a 2 page layout I did.

I have been trying to use up my kits before the Crop & Create event this month.
I told myself, I can't purchase anymore kits from the event, until I have completed all of the ones I had purchased from the last 2 years.
Honestly though…I was just saying that, as we all know I would purchase them, even if I didn't use them all, lol.

I have to say I have been doing really well.
This page was made with leftovers from one of the kits :)
I sure know how to squeeze a lot of extra layouts out of these kits I tell ya.

Onto My Day:
I had great plans of cleaning up the house and working on my journal.
I tidied the dining room, and then chatted on the phone most of the day, lol.
Heather and I picked Kristy up from work, then went to Ashley's for our nightly walk.
Actually just Ashley and I went for the walk.
Because I have to wear open toe shoes, because of my boo boo, my other foot was sore from wearing flip flops.
I have a blister on my good foot and in between my toe.
Later on, Kristy and I went for a walk to grab a couple of groceries.
Heather said she would pick us up, if me feet hurt….but I made it the whole way there and back :)

I hope you all had a very Creative Day today :)

Beautiful Photo Shoot Layout

Sharing another layout today.
I have to say, this one may be my simplest layout I have ever done.
But, I wanted to keep the focus of this layout on these beautiful photos of my gorgeous daughters
Here are both pages together.

This is the first page of my 2 page layout.
Even though these photos were taken in the Spring, I used Autumn coloured papers.
The reason being, the photos pop off of these colours.
The second reason, nothing has bloomed yet, so it looks more like fall then spring.

When my daughters did this photo shoot a few years ago, I didn't see all of the photos, only the one they gave me for Mother's Day.
I think that they all turned out beautifully.

This is the second page to my 2 page layout.
This is the photo that my daughter's gave me for Mother's day, they enlarged it to a 18x24 print.

It is a simple layout.
I mat my photos and added some o-ordinating paper that I cut into strips.
Lastly I added some pretty dimensional stickers to the corners.
I am sure these layouts still took me a few hours to put together though ;)

I did a quick video on this layout.
If you would rather watch the video on my YouTube channel, just click on the link "Tracy's Treasures24"
I hope you all had a very Creative Tuesday :)

Zombie Love 3

Here are my last two Zombie layouts from the kit I had put together.
I bet all of you queazy, hide under the covers, haters of scary movies are happy about that ;)

So lets get to the layouts shall we….

I like these close ups of Heather in all of her zombified glory.

Doesn't she look so sweet and innocent?
Well, minus the zombie makeup she does ;)

I really like this gauze pattern paper, so fun.
Also the Zombie dimensional sticker is pretty cool as well.

Second page is where the victim gets her revenge on the zombie.
Doesn't Zombie Heather look like she is enjoying munching on my arm ;)
More fun pattern papers.

These are from the sticker sheet that matches these papers.
I backed the top banner sticker with some black card stock to make it stand out from the paper more.

Isn't this a fun cut apart card.

One last look at the 2 page layout….now take a good look as this is the last of them ;)

Ok, I tricked you, its not the last of this layout…I did a short video, teehee.
If you dare, you can watch this video on my YouTube channel…just click on the link "Tracy's Treasures24"
Onto My Day:
After I drove Kristy to work, I checked out the one place where I heard there were still pumpkins.
Guess what, they were all gone :(
Wayne even texted me looking forward to carving some pumpkins tonight.
I had to tell him that I couldn't find any.
That was until my friend Lynne phoned me to tell me that she found me some pumpkins.
So Heather and I rushed to the Warehouse to pick one up….actually I picked up 3 :)
Turnes out my girls didn't want to carve them this year.
Heather was too busy playing video games and Kristy picked her boyfriend in favour of carving pumpkins with her parents…..what is up with them, lol.
So Wayne and I had a great time carving all 3 pumpkins ourselves :)

Hope you all had a Creative Thursday :)

Gambling layout and the Walking Dead :)

Another layout!!!!
Wow that is 6 in one month, more then I have done all year…and the year before that ;)
This is the last layout from the kit I was working on. I did have to add card stock and the brown paper from my stash.
I'm not as happy with this layout, as the colours seem to not flow, but it is what it is.

The photos on this layout are from when my SIL/friend Sharon and I went for a little vaca. just the two of us.
She gambled and I crafted….I don't think my $20.00 would be considered gambling, lol.

Sharon gave me the poker chips from her son's stash ;)
The pocket has more journaling inside.
If you are wondering how it is going to be read after it is placed in the page protector…I cut a small slit in the page protector so the journal card can be slipped in and out. I also have a photo of Sharon's winning pay stub on the back of the journal card :)
All the photos in these layouts were taken with my iPhone.
The photos of the actual layouts look a little wonky, but believe me the photos and embellishments are on the layout straight…I just can't seem to take a good photo of my layouts.

Here is the sketch I followed for this 2 page layout.
The sketch was supplied at the Crop & Create event. This sketch was a challenge they were doing during the event, so I thought I might as well use it for this layout.

Here is the layout as a 2 pager :)

I had shared with you that I adhere my layouts to a tile to keep them from bending or bowing when I photograph them.
I add a bit of light adhesive on the top 2 corners and adhere my layouts to the tiles. The layouts come off easily afterwards.
The tiles are just left over peel and stick tiles from our basement, not ceramic tiles.
Just thought I would share that as well.

Day 17 of 30 Days of Thankfulness :)
Today I am thankful for Sunday.
Because on Sunday comes my favourite show….the Walking Dead!!!
I can not tell you how much I love this show.
Every Sunday, I not only watch the new episode, I also watch last weeks episode.
I think about this show during the week and we even have Walking Dead marathons during the off season.
Can you tell I love this show ;)

Oh and for the record, yesterday's chocolate photo…I was having a marshmallow dipped in chocolate…I had ate the banana dipped in chocolate earlier, teehee.
Talk about chocolate…Kristy found my stash and hid it on me today, lol.
She is serious about me keeping on track with my healthy eating.
But I put up a fight and hid my Bear Claws I bought at Cabalas, no one is taking those away from me, lol..

I hope you all had a very creative Sunday :)

Yup...a layout

Hang on to your seats....Tracy has a layout to share ;)

When I was at Crop and Create the other weekend, I bought a kit that Vickie Boutin put together.
The kit is jammed packed, you have all the supplies, plus more, to make 2- 2page layouts.
On Friday Night Scrapbooking my friend Debbie and I cut all the papers to made all 4 pages.
Today I completed 2 of my layouts and I am so happy with how they turned out.
Considering I haven't done a 12x12 layout in a year and a half ;)
If you know me then you know I only do 2 page spreads....when I actually scrap that is ;)

I can never follow instructions, I always have to add my touch/style to everything.
One thing I almost always do is ink my edges.
We were supplied flower die cuts, but the completed photo in the instructions showed hearts.
So I found some coloured chipboard hearts in my stash. Because they were coloured and had a glossy finish, I alcohol inked them to a colour that went better with the papers supplied in the kit.
I then used brown Staz-On ink to ink the script onto the front of the hearts.

I also added the flag on the photo frame. The chipboard flag was also supplied in the kit.

I switched up a few of the embellishments to go more with the theme of this page.

I didn't use as many butterflies as used in the sketch. I also inked up the butterflies as well.
The letters were not supplied in the kit, these are from my sticker stash ;)

I had fun layering the chipboard pieces :)

Here are the completed pages side by side.
The colours are a bit washed out in the photos.... I need to work on my layout photos....I guess that means I need to make some more layouts to practice on ;)

I hope you all had a wonderful and creative Tuesday :)

Tracy :)
