Photo Op Failed

Today I finished up my book work. I didn't do any during the weekend as it was to nice.
I also took Ashley driving. She just found out that to get her full licence "G" she has to take both her driving tests by Sept 2011. She has to wait 1 full year in between tests. So she is a little stressed not only about passing but about doing it before it expires.

I love pictures on blogs. I didn't get the photo that I wanted. I want my photo's to somewhat represent my day. So today was suppose to be my one tool I use during my book work. That didn't happen.
So I thought I would share my bad photography LOL.
I see these cute pictures (my girls have done this) that people take of themselves. So I thought I would take one of me for my blog when I first started it.
So these are from the beginning of the year.

What am I suppose to look at? What the heck am I doing LOL.Well at least here I have a smile. Don't worry about your eye sight, there is nothing wrong with your eyes, everyone of these pictures are blurry.So on my blog I used a picture that someone took at my nephew's wedding.
Oh my girls will have a chuckle at these pictures. I don't think that I have shared these before. Can't imagine why LOL.

I ran to the Superstore to get something for supper. Ashley's friend Michelle was working there. She works in the garden center. So she showed me a few flowering plants that I could get that come up all year. Those would be Perennials? Right.

When Kristy came home from school, she brought 3 friends home with her. I know the two girls, but the boy was new to me. He said he lived in Germany. He talks perfect English (no accent) but says he doesn't like English, says its to hard. Ya, I agree. He was so polite. Told my I had a comfortable home, he liked it here. I fed them supper, he came in the room that I was in and thanked me for it and told me it was good. Such a sweetie.

Today I also got Heather and Ashley to make a goal or life plan. They have so many things that they want to do. And so many things to do in order for them to be independent.
They are such good kids (I know they aren't kids) I would love for them to live at home forever, but that isn't reality of life. And I want to see them grow and spread their wings.
They were never the type of children that wanted to grow up and be older than what they were. They always told me they didn't want to get older, even when they were really young. I am glad that they loved their childhood so much, but they know that they have to move on in order to grow. Boo hoo, I want my babies back.

Its a beautiful day for some flowers.

Today was a beautiful day.

I know I said that I wanted to craft all day today, but it was so beautiful that we decided to go out and get some bedding flowers and do some yard work today.

Here I am planting my new flowers. Hopefully now the neighbours will realize that this is a flower bed and stop their dogs from p1ssing in it. This is one of my pet peeves, oh ya its not Friday Peeves, guess this will have to wait.

Here is hubby getting ready to trim the tree, well actually cut it in half. We bought this cedar tree about 14 yrs ago (we have 3 of them actually). It was suppose to be a dwarf cedar, it was only suppose to grow 4-6ft high. As you can see it is over 12 ft. I have a sign on the fence that read "Birds Welcome" I made it so you could see it over the tree, well we haven't seen that sign for a while teehee.

We all went out as a family to pick out the flowers. I am so anal about everything and that includes the colours of our flowers. Well last year the girls teased me about it, so I told them that they could pick them out next year. Well it is next year and I let go and let them pick all the flowers. Then they had to organize them as to where they should be planted. I just bit my tongue and did the planting. They did a wonderful job.

Here is Ashley taking pictures of the flowers. That girl has a camera attached to her at all times teehee. I am so happy that my girls have passions like this in their lives.

Yep this is my Heather. She hates getting her picture taken. She didn't really participate in the outdoor activities. I think she would have rather been watching Dr. Who. She is watching all the episodes.

Mind you she did bring out a book to read, then Wayne put her to work picking up the cedar branches. Then she went back inside.

Here is my Kristy. This girl has an electronic gadget with her at all times. If it isn't her cell phone (which it usually is), its her IPod Touch, or (in this case) my laptop, or of course her music.After we finished (needed a break) we took the girls out for Dairy Queen. Now you may ask if I got something (as I am trying to have a healthy new outlook). My answer would be yes I did. This is a lifestyle change, not a diet. So I got myself a chocolate dipped kiddie cone. See I restrained myself without depriving myself.

When we got back home Ashley wanted to take some pictures of her diploma outside. She needed my help. Well I think I fell asleep on the back lawn for a bit teehee. That fresh air and sunlight will do that to you. Wonder how many ants are crawling in my hair?

I got to go in my scrap/craft room and did a bit more organizing.
And to all you lovely ladies that want me to come and organize your rooms, I am there. Just send me a ticket and it would be my pleasure. I love to organize I really do, but you have to do the cooking LOL.

Craftroom Clean up

Today I was suppose to create all day today. That didn't happen.
How can I be creative in a room that I can't even walk in. Ya it was that bad, hanging my head in shame.
To all you that say you will never show your rooms for all to see because it is to messy. Come on now. It certainly can't be as bad as mine.
I didn't put anything away from girls weekend, can you tell teehee.

I did a bit of organizing as well. I put up some hooks for some stamps. I got hubby to hang my shelves (my dad made those for my girls beanie baby's, remember those?).
See when I said in my last video that the table cloth was covering up my mess, I wasn't kidding. Don't you just love that I labeled them before and after. Like you really needed to know which picture was which LOL. You notice the "E" in create even fell off the wall. That sucker always falls off.

After I tidied up my room, I organized my bottom cabinet. I am hoping to totally organize my whole room this month so I can video tape it. I love looking at other crafter's rooms, so I figure I would share mine. I am taking it slow so I am planning on doing it near the end of the month.

Hubby and I went out as I needed a few things, but everything was closed. I didn't realize how late it was, most places close at 6:00 on Saturday. I guess that's what happens when you get up after 11:00 teehee.

My SIL Sharon came by to drop off some work and visited for a bit. Jacob (Ashley's friend) dropped by for a bit and that is about all that happened today.

Tomorrow it is suppose to be nice out, it rained on and off all day today. So we plan on doing some yard work. I haven't even planted any flowers yet this year.

Proud mommy day, my baby Graduated college

Hello fellow bloggers.
Today was such a proud day for me and my daughter Ashley. She graduated from her Multi-Media college course, with honors, she made the Dean's list.
Can you tell I am proud. She is such a smart, beautiful, caring young women.
Young women, can I have a daughter old enough to be considered a women? Where do the years go?
Her is a picture of Ashley, Heather (my middle daughter) and I.

I am such a lucky person to have daughters this loving.
Hubby worked so he didn't make it. Kristy was having a pre-math test that she couldn't miss, yes I would have let her skip to see her sister's graduate.

Here are some of Ashley's class mates.Tada, she did it. They told the girls to NOT wear heels. Well Ashley wore like 4" heels. She was so worried that she might fall on her face, but not enough to wear flats LOL.

She was fine though.

Her Graduation was taped on Ustream. I couldn't imaging anyone wanting to watch 3 hours of ceremony though. Ashley had to be there 1 hour before. Which means I was there one hour before. I brought a book and Heather brought her game boy, so we did that for the first hour of waiting for the ceremony to begin. So we were there for 4 hours. We didn't get out of there till after 5:00.

So much for my healthy eating as I picked up McDonald's for supper :0

Ashley went to her friend Michelle's for their after grad. party. She had a good time. I picked her up after 10:00. They are pretty amateur in the party area LOL. She had fun though. Michelle's yard is make to have a good time. She has a huge canopy that they play all kinds of lawn games.

Oh Ya and there was cake left over, guess who got it :)

I went to a Stamp'n Up get together tonight. We made a card. When I was there we heard a smash, like glass breaking, outside.

Lynn the host ran outside. Well a group of teens (no more then 15, 16 yrs old) were drinking and threw the bottle on the sidewalk. Actually the only girl in the group was the one that threw the bottle. She looked right at the neighbour lady as she did it.

Well Lynn and the neighbour made them clean it up.

A bit later we see the same kids walking across the street. The neighbour lady called the cops. We didn't see them again, we did see a couple cop cars driving down the street.

I love what Lynn yelled. "You are not going to be doing this in my neighbour hood". You go sister.

We live in a nice neighbourhood. But lately not so nice things are starting to happen. Time for the neighbours to get together and really start paying attention to what is going on around us.

Friday I can not believe it is here already. We are staying home this weekend as it is suppose to rain. So I plan on locking myself in my scrap/craft room and organizing (cleaning LOL) it and creating all weekend. Got lots to do.

Cake fun

My oldest daughter Ashley is graduating from college tomorrow. I am so proud of her, she has worked hard and is graduating with honors. She made the Deans list.
Her friend Michelle is having a party and BBQ to celebrate tomorrow. They came over tonight to make some cakes.
My daughter is the one on the left and Michelle is on the right.
Here is their friend Shan. She did the decorating on this cake. They bought the wrong kind of icing and it started to slide off the cake. LOL. So they went and bought the correct icing and redid it.
Her are the girls goofing around teehee. Mind you I wanted to take a big bite of that yumminess of sugar. See the icing pooling around the cake.Here is a better picture of their cakes. The one on the left that says "College", the girls informed me that the code means end so this cake means the end of college.
The second cake is the logo for their Multi-Media course that they took.

Ashley opened up her emails this morning and a lady left her a message that she loved Ashley's photography and wants to know if Ashley would photograph her wedding. Ashley was so nervous, but Heather and I talked to her and encouraged her. I told her this lady saw your photographs and knows your style. She wouldn't have asked you if she didn't like what you do. Am I right or am I right.

I worked all day today. So close to being finished the billing. I picked Kristy up from school early as they had and early dismissal and we all went to the mall. We had lunch in the mall, I didn't, Healthy eating :)

Not much else happened today. I was planning to put a video up today of a project I am working on for Ashley and her friends, but didn't have time to work on it today. Hopefully I will get to do it tomorrow. Thursday already, I need an extra day this week.

Thankful Thursday. What are you thankful for today.

1. Spending time with my girls, they make me laugh so much.

2. Adding machines. Wouldn't want to do my book work without them.

3. Nice weather to walk in, walked 11500 steps :)

Good evening everyone.
I would like to thank everyone for their kind comments on my post yesterday. I think I have the nicest, sweetest people on here.

Now onto my day. I worked most of the day. I got a nice surprise in the mail. It is so nice to get "Happy Mail" instead of bills.


I have a question about YouTube. I have over 21 video's but when I go to my page it only shows 21. I know you can put more than that on YouTube as many other people have over 100 on their channel. If you can help me let me know.

Ok so I worked most of the day. I did get my walk in this morning, then Kristy and I took a short walk tonight. It has been so nice here that we have been keeping our windows open, even at night. I don't want to turn on the A/C. Mind you Hubby did have it on last week.

I went to Michael's today. Can you believe I didn't buy anything. Ashley went for some paper. She should have checked out my stash before we went. I probably had what she wanted. Teehee.

Since I missed "What did you do to make you feel proud" yesterday I will post it today.
1. Went for my daily walk
2. Got a lot of my work done today.
3. Didn't yell at the people who let their dog pee in my front flower bed, Grrrrr.

My mom

Today would have been my mom's 63rd birthday.
I said would have been, as my mom passed away 5 yrs ago.
Isn't she beautiful. I love this picture of her, she looks so happy.

This is my mom on her wedding day. This is my dad (step, Oh I hate that word). She is so beautiful and he so handsome.

My mom was the "fun" mom. All my friends thought she was cool. And you know what she was. My daughters thought of her as the "fun" grandma. And you know what she was. My mom was fun and we were close. We would stay up until 3:00 in the morning playing cards and Yahtzee, even on a school night. When we were young, she would drop my older brother and I off at the movies to spend our allowance while she did errands.
I loved when she would just drop by for a visit because she was in town.
But I am not one of those people that when someone passes away they become a saint.
My mom had a prescription drug problem. And because of this I had to separate myself from her. I didn't want my kids to see the things I did growing up. I won't go into the details as everyone has a story and I am sure mine isn't much different.
Addiction sucks I tell you. I never knew how she would be when we went to visit. And because of this my children were robbed of their grandma and me of my mom.
Because of this addiction she was taken too early from us.
I was thankful that I did get to talk to my mom before she passed. We said that we loved each other, and she understood why I didn't visit.
My family thinks that she took too many pills before she went to bed one night and never woke up.
