I am going to share my desk with you all today...scary I know, lol.
I am linking it up to Julia's blog where you will find a lot of creative desks.
I haven't been doing any creating lately, but my Kristy has :)
It is her and her boyfriend Blake's 2yr anniversary of dating and she wanted to add to the scrapbook she made for him last year.
So most of this mess is hers...yes, I said most.
Here is one of her double page layouts she had done.
She is so good at this. I love her pages.
This is what happens when I leave my camera unattended, lol.
Usually I find funny pictures of Ashley on it. So I was surprised when I saw this one of Kristy, teehee.
Onto My Day:
Drove Kristy to work for 7:00am. It rained all day and I love the sound of rain, it is so soothing, so I decided to go to bed when I came home.
I had to run to Michael's to pick up some 8x8 page protectors for Kristy's album. I had some but they were a tad to small when put in the book.
Went to my follow up doctors appointment. My iron is good....well its good for me, at least it now registers on the graph, lol. I lost 1lb...1 freaking pound! Since April!!!!!!
I am hoping it was because this week we celebrated 3 birthdays, 3 cakes and 2 dinners out.
- I quit drinking my Coca-Cola during the week, and only drink 2 cans on the weekend.
- I have been eating sugar snap peas on the weekend instead of salty munchies.
- I have been walking up to 7 miles 5 days a week.
- What do I have to do now, quite eating my chocolate bar that I enjoy during the weekend as well :(
I hope you all had a creative Wednesday :)
Tracy :)
Actually, I read that building muscle to burn fat requires testosterone and the levels in women drop dramatically as we age. So.... what you need is a transfusion from your hubby!
ReplyDeleteKidding aside, even if the walk doesn't translate to losing weight, it still makes your heart and lungs healthier! Keep it up!
I agree with keeping my heart healthy by walking. With me having heart disease this is the best thing I can do for myself.
DeleteWow 7 miles a day is awesome, great job. I know you have probably already thought of this but you are gaining muscle, and you are tiny so if you lose much more than a pound you will disappear. I thought Family size chocolate is the only size they make. hehehe
ReplyDeleteThe only muscle I am gaining Sybil is in my jaw from eating the chocolate, lol.
Deletelove your daughter's CAS style and your lucky she isn't too messy ;)
ReplyDeletehappy woyww #152
I like her style as well, it keeps the focus on the photo.
Deletekeep up the awesome walking!! every little bit helps!
ReplyDeletelots of awesomeness on your desk
Thanks Mary Pat :)
DeleteI really need to tidy up that awesome desk ;)
It is so tough to make dietary changes. Great job on yours. All that walking is very healthy even if you aren't seeing the results you want yet. What I've learned is that it takes awhile to get 'ready' to give up or substitute things you really love. But you can and it makes you feel so good! Give yourself major points for recognizing all this and continuing to work your plan!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your wisdom Lisa. Yes I know it takes time. Funny thing I have never had to loose weight. And being a "bit" older I hear it takes longer.
DeleteKristy's album looks awesome! Did she get her Scrapbooking skills from you or Wayne? Lol! What do you drink during the week? I find that when i drink tons of water I lose more weight.
ReplyDeleteI am going to say she gets her skills from me, and any bad habits from Wayne, lol.
DeleteI have been drinking water (but only a glass, at camp its more) and maybe some juice.
I know I don't drink nearly enough, even the doctor told me that.
7 miles is quite a walk! WTG!
ReplyDeleteThanks Madeline.
DeleteI go for a 3 mile walk in the morning, then a 3 mile walk in the evening, and then smaller ones during the day.
Sad about not losing weight---but are your clothes fitting differently? Weight can be redistributed from fat to muscle!
ReplyDeleteNope, clothes aren't fitter any better, lol.
DeleteSeven miles 5 x a week is fabulous. Good for you.
ReplyDeleteAt least you know you are healthier from all the exercise and lack of diet coke.
I am addicted too and it is a hard habit to break...good on you!
I feel way better. Not as tired and I feel like I want to do more.
DeleteAs for the coke, I never drink diet anything, I hate the after taste. I drank the real deal, lol.
your daughters layouts are fabulous. Not sure if I said Happy Birthday so I hope your day was filled with joy. that photo of your daughter... tooo funny! I would never give up my chocolate. I deserve it once a week. LMAo
ReplyDeleteLOL, I think I gave up enough to be able to keep my chocolate ;)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the Birthday wishes :)
My daughters keep me on my toes....but in a good way :)
I felt like I was starving at 1300-1400 cal diet and hardly lost more than a few pounds in a month. Had my metabolism checked and I need to eat 1200 just to maintain, no wonder I wasn't losing. I couldn't exercise enough to more the scale. Menopause is not my friend. I went on a drastic diet of all protein and the. Re-added dairy fruit and bread. I lost 35lbs but still tough now to maintain
ReplyDeleteGood for you on your weight loss. I tried to count calories I just couldn't do it. My problem is my sweet tooth;
DeleteI love the book that Kristy is making her boyfriend! That is so sweet of her. She definitely got your crafty genes!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing a great job at eating right and exercising. You can totally keep your chocolate :) But I totally get the frustration! I have been stuck at a certain weight too. I lost like 5lbs, then haven't been able to lose any more! So frustrating! Ugh!
I love kristy's album as well. It is hard when you hit a platuae. I remember when I had a passion for exercise and healthy eating, hoping to get. There again but not as obsessive .
DeleteCute book that Kristy is working on. Keep on walking, girl. Even though you are not losing weight your ticker appreciates it. I gotmy work out behind the lawn mower this morning.
ReplyDeleteI love kristy alum as well. I won't stop walking, I can feel my energy return and my heart needs it
DeleteKristy obviously has your creative talent Tracy. Her LO look great and I think it's great that she shares your space...not sure I'd like the mess left behind though ;D
ReplyDeleteWalking is brilliant for general health and well-being...so don't stress on the weight issue just focus on the overall fitness, and think of that toned body! The rest will follow...
Good luck and Happy WOYWW even though it's Friday here!
Neesie #20
I made way more of mess then kristy does ;) I need to walk because of my weak heart and can tell a difference with the walking
DeleteUgh! I know the feeling! Been walking about 7 km ( not miles, though) 5 days a week ( other than when we were away) since Christmas and I see no difference in my clothes (no scale in our house). So frustrating!
ReplyDeleteIt is frustrating. I don't feel a difference in my clothes but then again a pound or two really isn't going to be noticeable, lol
DeleteWalking is great exercise. I used to walk with my mom and sister, need to get back into it again >.< Kristy's layout looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteNot only OS walking with your mom.& sister good excercise it is also nice to be together kristy says thank you for the compliment
DeleteAt first I thought how bad is one little chocolate bar once a week. A whole family size bar?! Yeah, I would need that much chocolate too. I have stopped eating pints of ice cream in one sitting though. I just stopped buying ice cream. I can't have it around I WILL eat it. Maybe I should take up drinking wine like everyone else. Chocolate and ice cream are so much more fun though :D
ReplyDeleteI will not give up my chocolate, that is not an option, lol. I hate the taste of alcohol so chocolate it is ;)
DeleteYou write great posts! I've found if you go "cold turkey" with chocolate you can totally be over it altogether - well that's what happened for me anyway! I don't care about it anymore! Which is good! :D
ReplyDeleteI went cold turkey with too many things , I am not giving up chocolate, but I will limit it. Thank you so much for your compliment o about my blog :)
DeleteYour desk has got nothing on mine. I trashed my whole room this week! I am working on a mini for a little girlfriend of ours who is making a trip back to her birth country, China. I hope she likes it. You inspired me with all your tutorials and minis!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for telling me I have inspired you. As for taking over your whole room that's what happens when I make a mini as well
DeleteMy daughters played around with that program, not that needed to loose weight mind you. I think you need an iPhone or IPad to use it. Congrats on your weight loss
ReplyDeleteNooooo...don't give up the chocolate :)
ReplyDeleteSweet that she is making him an album.
And too funny the photo from your daughter.
I have found some gems from my four almost five year old on my camera. The best are the closeup self portraits :)
No worries Mary Jo, I will never give up my chocolate :). My girls keep me laughing that's for sure
DeleteMaybe you can switch to DARK chocolate, if it isn't already. At least that's supposed to be better for you. ;)
ReplyDeleteYour daughter's are cute AND funny! Love the view of the scrapbook and how funny is Kristy in her zombie pose! Too funny!
Your desk is just way too clean to even come close to resembling mine.LOL!
I don't really like dark chocolate. I figure if I'm going to eat it I'm going to ejoy it lol.
ReplyDeleteYes my girls make me laugh every day
