Low day with a High sign.
I had bought this cute magnet for my dad years ago when I was away on a trip.
I plays Scotland the Brave. The reason I bought it for him was because he was from Scotland.
Now when I say it plays, I should correct myself and say that it doesn't play anymore.
It stopped playing completely after my dad had passed away.
Funny thing is, sometimes it starts to play on its own.
Usually when I am missing my dad.
Well today it played.
I was in the living room and Heather was in her bedroom, the house was silent (as it usually is during the day as I don't watch TV or even listen to the radio during the day).
Then I hear some music..Heather calls out "Mom, what is that?"
My response "My dad came to say hello" :)
If you know me then you know I don't follow any type of religion.
I know many don't believe in these types of things, I'm not even sure if Wayne believes in these types of things...but he knows it gives me comfort and makes me smile so he embraces my belief :)
Onto My Day:
Today was pretty unproductive.
I had a migraine. Lots of times when I get one, I lose parts of my vision.
Today was one of those days. I had no perifial vision in my right eye. I never drive when I am like this. So I stayed home and did laundry.
Kristy texted me on her lunch. I had trouble reading her texts and told her why.
She told me to drink some water, grab her baby blanket and take a nap....what a sweetie this girl is, she is so sweet.
Then when she got home from school came to make sure I was okay :)
I felt better after the nap, I usually do.
I do feel a bit dippy, but I feel like that on a good day, lol.
Hope you all had a creative Tuesday :)
Tracy :)

What a lovely post Tracy - I do believe that these things are sent to remind us. Our hearts believe what they want to believe. When my Mum passed, every time I saw a card or a note on the internet or a gift with a name on it it always said Christine (my Mum's name). They live on in our hearts:-) Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteoh i love this tracy!!
ReplyDeleteI totally get this and LOVE that your Dad came to say hello!!! :) I had a migraine today too. It was one that made me nauseous, the worst for me! As soon as I got home, I took one of my magic pills, I reserve them for the really bad ones, and did the netti pot. That seemed to help. Hope you're feeling better today friend :)
ReplyDeleteSorry about the migraine. I hope you are better today. I love that story about the magnet. I try not to be a skeptic. You can't prove it didn't happen even if you also can't prove what it was. It sounds to me like your Dad was coming by to visit. Like you say - just embrace it! :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely believe these things to be true and I love that you get comfort from it. I hope you're feeling better today. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that your Dad says hello in such a fun way!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better today. Migraines are the worst!
That is beautiful. I had experiences similar to this after I lost my twin sons 14 years ago. I am not religious, but from my experiences, I feel good about what happens when this body of mine gives out. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way, whenever I hear Africa on the radio I is my Dad is stopping by to say hi. Hope you feel better today.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a sweet story. TFS. It certainly made me smile and just a bit teary. Hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI have little signs from my great grandmother too. I think they let us know in their own way that they're still there.
ReplyDeleteIts nice to have your Dad drop by every once in awhile as I am sure that brings you a lot of comfort. Sorry about your migraine, glad you are feeling a bit better.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you needed some comforting. I hope you feel better.
ReplyDeleteGlad that you are feeling better! I like the idea that the pipes are playing from your dad for comfort. ❤
ReplyDeleteThats cool your dad visits, my family believe in those things too.
ReplyDeleteawwwwwwwwwwwwwww how funny. I am glad your dad came to visit. I had money thrown at me twice today. I always say that is my dad. LOL
ReplyDeleteglad you feel better and enjoy that free phone lucky lady:)
I love it. That magnet is too cute! Glad your dad came by to say hello. The way I was raised I would have sworn she would have come back to say hello in some way. Never really had any kind of contact that I could notice. Nope instead she reincarnated herself into my daughter and a little bit into my son. Her favorite color was purple and so is his for no reason other than he loves it. Playing catch up again but I don't think I'm that far behind this time :D
ReplyDeleteI love this story! So very cool to think of your dad letting you know he is thinking about you up there.
