Well I didn't get any crafty fun in at all today :(
I woke up to this, on my front hall mirror doors this morning. What in the H- E- double hockey sticks is this you may ask.
My lovely daughter Ashley (my oldest, the one that got her wisdom teeth removed) has to use a syringe filled with warm salt water to get the particles of food out of her pockets where her teeth were. Well I guess she was up to late last night when she did this and didn't have time to clean the mirror. Gross isn't it.
She is really good at cleaning this up after she does this. Why she doesn't do this in the bathroom is beyond me.
Today was pretty busy. I had to take my dad for his doctor's appointment. Which is an ordeal. I have to carry his oxygen, his walker and whatever else he or I have to carry. Up and down the stairs to his apartment.
Then he needed some groceries. So I brought him back to his apartment, as it is easier to do this without him. Went and got his groceries, then came home and made him enough lunch meat sandwiches to last the week. Then brought them and the remaining groceries to his place. I am also going to make him some stew for the week. He is fighting off a bad cold and he just thought I should get him some TV dinners. I wouldn't feed those to my dog (even though I don't have a dog).
Then I came home and did some of my book work. Month End, fun, fun, fun.
When I went and got dad's groceries, Safeway had some Easter treats left. I got this yummy cutie for $1.98. Seriously how could I resist. LOL.
Ya, ya I nibbled on his ears. Love white chocolate.
After supper I took the girls out. Ashley bought a Video Card from Futures and now it is $20.00 off. So she got her money back. Heather wanted to look for some cool Rubber boots for a photo shoot. We looked at Winners, but they had nothing.
Kristy needed some makeup so we ran into Shoppers.
Watched House, caught up on my blogs, and watched Terminator Salvation. It wasn't that bad. It didn't follow the original as well as I thought it should. I thought it should have been more gritty. The characters didn't have a relationship like the original had led us to believe.
Ya we are a bunch of movie nerds in this house. We are known to quote movie lines on a day to day basis. And if you don't know the movie then you will think we are a bit odd. Well I guess we are LOL.
Oh I have a question...When you get a comment on your blog do you
1. Answer them on your own blog comments
2. Answer them on thier blog comments
3. Only answer them when they have a new blog post.
I have done a few different ways. I usually don't post on my own blog comments as I don't think anyone comes back to read them.
I seem to only answer them if they have a new post. But not everyone posts daily.
Tell me what you do.
Here's to the beginning of the week. Hope your day was a good one.

On answering comments, sometimes I email them when that is an option.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on my blog. I appreciate it even if you don't know what to say.
I love how you take care of your dad. I used to go do all those things for my grandma. It made me smile to read your post about him today.
sorry mom, that made me laugh though.
ReplyDeleteWell that wouldn't make me happy but you told it well. LOL
ReplyDeleteI usually answer the blogs on my blog, but this time I am answering on your blog. The mini book is done and you can check it out on my blog. I should have asked for your help months ago but it is done just the same. I would appreciate your thoughts as I think you do excellent work.
Have a great day and I hope no more "stuff" gets on your hall mirrors. Tee hee
Have a great week

I enjoy reading your daily blogs and see what your getting up to, it's like reading your diary, as for answering comments I try to e-mail if they have one you can use if not I do it on the latest post they have.
ReplyDeleteEEEEWWWWWWW.....Gross!!!! I can't believe you took a picture of that grossness! he,he,he,he!
ReplyDeleteLove the little nibble on the Easter bunny!!! Mmmmm...White chocolate!11
MMmmm.....that bunny looks so good! I love white chocolate and it is the ONE kind that nobody ever gets for me! HA! As for blog comments - I try to answer them via an email response, as my comments are all emailed to my inbox. I NEVER answer them in a comment on my own blog because that assumes they are going back to that specific page. If they don't fill in their email (which is never shown) I either try to answer on their blog or leave it unanswered as I cannot get in touch with them.
ReplyDeleteIck...my own daughter had one of those syringe thingies for her wisdom teeth extractions just a few months ago, too. Luckily I didn't find the mess you found! LOL.
ReplyDeleteAs far as answering questions...I used to do it any which way. Since I now read probably over 200 blogs a day (sick, isn't it?) I KNOW I don't have time to go back and check comments...so I try to answer any questions on THEIR blogs, via email (if I have the email addy) or in a new blog post.
Tracy - thank you for all the wonderful comments on my blog. It's nice to hear that I'm not the only one.
ReplyDeleteEEEEWWW!! Honestly though when I saw the pic I thought the story was going to be FAR worse. Of course, I am a mom to boys and it gets pretty yucky around my house from time to time.
ReplyDeleteI usually answer a comment on the person's blog under comments of the last post they posted. I'd probably completely miss them on someone elses blog because I wouldn't think to check because those comments are supposed to be for the poster not me. If there is an email option I usually do that too.
ReplyDeleteVery gross.
ReplyDeleteBut aren't kids the grossest things ever?
Good times good times.
