I got crafty today :)
I love to do all types of crafts, but lately it has been mainly paper crafting.
Mind you if I think about it, this goes into the paper crafting category as well.
I saw this idea on Katie's blog. I thought it was a perfect solution for my 30+ candy canes I have left over from Christmas.
I only had 16 red and white candy canes, and I noticed that Katie had 18. I do have over 20 peach flavoured ones, they are an orange colour. And 2 green and red ones. But I don't think a peachy heart wreath is that Valentinesy ;)
One of these things is not like the other.
One of these things is kinda the same....are you thinking of Sesame Street and singing along ;)
Not sure where I am going to put it.
I don't think I should put it on a door. I am not sure this will stand up to all the traffic of opening and closing the doors.
Onto My Day:
Did some book work.
Hubby called the insurance company about the hail damage we got back in April. Yes we are a bit behind.....remember my goal to stop procrastinating ;)
I received some happy mail today. I was asked if I would be willing to make a mini album with a kit that this company supplied to me. The mini is so neat and the papers and embellishments are gorgeous.
I will share that when I am done...but have a Christmas one to finish up first.
Girls are all home again tonight :)
Hope you all had a creative Monday :)
Tracy :)

ReplyDeleteHa! As the photo came up on your blog I was wondering how in the world you got those candy canes bent into shape!!! Oh you can see where my brain cells are...in the cemetary. LOL! And yes, I did actually think of the Sesame Street song-"
ReplyDeleteOne of these things is not like the others, one of these things does not belong!"
Procrastinating...not usually a word associated with me BUT thegrowing pile of paper on top of my filing cabinet would testify otherwise!!
Glad you dh is finally calling about the hail damage:)
that is just toooo cute!!! love it
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea and it turned out so cute!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the shout out! Yours looks so wonderful! I love how you embellished the heart, I may have to go back and add a little love to mine :) I actually still have it hanging on the back of our front door, which wasn't the plan, but I never moved it, our doesn't slam too hard, but the wreath holds up to us coming in and out every day. Oh no, now that I've said this, I'll get home and it will be broken!
ReplyDeleteI've been seeing those candy cane heart wreaths all over Pinterest and blogland! How can you resist? I like your Sesame Street rendition. Cute! ;^) Kinda started on something crafty, but still working on cleaning and hit the 90% off sale at K-Mart!
ReplyDeleteVery cute wreath! Great idea for Valentine's!
ReplyDeleteCute wreath! I've been scrubbing my house the last couple of days and have a nasty head cold on top of it all. I'm so glad to be cleaned up for the most part. The lock box is on and the sign is out front now to find a buyer. Wish me luck. At least now I can get some crafty time in. I have 3 videos to upload and to to film and I got some VERY happy mail today.
